My name is Brent-- and I have an addiction...

Haha, for real though, I'm out of control with the vaping gear and liquid. I've been vaping for a couple of years now, and for a long time I just had a little pen-style kit, and one box mod, and one tank for that mod-- and I had a few bottles of juice that I'd rotate between when refilling, and when I ran out, I'd order another bottle to replace what I'd used up...

Fast-forward to now, and I'm sitting here looking at a table that has 17 mods on it (all with tanks attached), along with 6 extra tanks of varying sizes and brands, and a box FULL of extra coils for the various tanks, and a surplus of other supplies. I have another box here, where I keep my juice, and I don't even feel like counting all of these bottles, haha. There are a few dozen "mini" sized (10-15ml) bottles from various places, and probably about 50 (or more) 30-60ml bottles of different kinds of juices, and finally a few 120ml bottles. WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING? Hahaha. But, as much of this stuff as I have, I'm 100% positive that a lot of you guys have WAY more of this stuff than I do-- so I guess I'm in the right place

Anyway, it's nice to meet you all, and I look forward to seeing more and more recommendations and praise, as I browse these boards, for plenty of stuff that I don't have... yet... haha ;) Take it easy everybody.

Your stash sounds about right for "a couple" years into the "addiction".
Except for all those tiny bottles of commercial juice? What's up with that? By now you should be surrounded by gallon jugs of PG/VG and Litres of Nic! Gotta git yer DIY on, Hoss!
All those packs of coils need to be spools of wire. C'mon!

Hey jus funnin wit ya. Everyone's got their own way in this hobby. As long as yer off the analogs and havin fun you've got it down pat!

Enjoy

Foggy Road is right! You should have a tanker trailer of juice sitting in your driveway by now. [emoji2]

Hi there..

Yup, pretty average for someone that's into it as a hobby... and since you're not DIY, you're behind on that, you need at least a gallon of base and a hundred flavours to qualify... :D

And I see that you appear lacking in RDAs... no mention of any. :p

Yes, that would be a pity. :)
Now now, I refuse to be an enabler... one doesn't need a dozen drippers, 3-4 is plenty.. some with tanks in general, it's not the number per say, it's the quest to find "the one" (or ones) that becomes the daily can't do without tank/mod/etc. (then you get extra ones)

I know one guy that got over a dozen mods and tanks, but while the mods might be different, it's all the same tank... he had gone through probably a hundred tanks since before and after but that tank is his "absolute go-to" but he keeps trying out other ones to see if he'd find one that would replace it... for him, it's the Crius (OBS).

For me, I have a few go-tos (including the Crius), all have their pros and cons, and a bunch of tanks that I haven't touched in months now.

For my RDAs, I went glass and never looked back. The worse part, my latest tank(RTA) is a full glass one and is my absolute go-to at home.

I am betting (with myself..?) that my number is nearer to a dozen than 3-4, although it must be said if I was to dare open the vape attic and see how many were lined up a ready to vape, the number would be
4, yes! :)

I am not including the OBS Cheetah because my brain fails to see the logic behind such a strange thing.
Oh well, 5 it is!

Once I got my glass RDAs, I got rid on my metal ones (except one for the heck of at least having one), didn't have many anyways, but kinda pointless as I knew I wouldn't touch them anymore.

Thank you all for the kind words. You all have motivated me to get more into the "DIY" stuff. Is making your own juice a pretty simple, straightforward process? And I assume ditching the pre-made, sub-ohm coils, and going the RDA route is worth it, since everyone seems to be doing it? I've never really tried any of that stuff, so I just assumed that it was more of a hassle than it's worth-- but I'm going to look into all of the suggestions above, and give them a shot. Thanks again, everybody! I can already tell this is a pretty chill place, with a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people. I appreciate it!

It comes down that it looks "scary" when you haven't done it.

RTAs, once I really got into them, I've left my cartridges behind... the difference is 1) it's just a better vape, better airflow, etc. 2) it's insanely cheaper, for the price of one box of cartridges, you could have enough wire and wick for several dozens of builds (the only starting expense that makes it a bit pricy at first is if you get dedicated tools, but you can always get by with a trip to a dollar store and spend about 10$ and have all you really need) 3) learning curve depends on your skills and hand coordination, but overall, making coils is turning a wire around a pin, spacing it correctly... the wicking is the tricky part at first as you need to learn how much to use.

DIY, same thing.. the initial starter kit can seem pricy, but then, after you realize that for the money spent, you have a 100 bottles worth instead of 6-10 from store bought. The hard part is figuring the recipes, which is knowing what flavour mixes well with what, but overall, it's simply mix a few drops of this and that into your base, do the correct amount of nicotine per bottle, shake, wait a few days to steep the mix and that's it.

Thanks for the info! I'm gonna order some VG, PG, and nicotine (and whatever else I'll need-- I'll have to look into it and figure all of that out), and I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I can get it tasting and vaping okay. I'm also gonna pick up some stuff to try to make my own 'coils' too. Several of the tanks I've bought came with a deck that I think just needs the cotton added to make them functional, so I'll see what I can do with those, and practice that a little bit, until I have everything I need to get started making them from scratch. Thanks again for the advice and tips! I really appreciate it-- and thanks for taking the time to go into such detail. That's a very helpful post.
