Hey, guys! I've been lurking for about 2 weeks now, so I thought I should say "Hi" and post what I think might help any other lurkers out there that might be new to vaping. I apologize if all of this is repeat.
1. If you are thinking about switching from smoking to vaping, realize that it will be a different experience from smoking which will take a little while to get used to. The feel of vaping can be similar with the right products, but the taste will be different and may take some getting used to.
2. Do your research by reading in this forum. I say this because there is a LOT of misleading information out there, with false reviews. There are tons of knock-off brands out there that may or may not be as good as the original manufacturer's product. There are also varying qualities in the "juice" (although most of the hardware is made in China, stay away from their juice), so keep this in mind.
3. When looking for a potential reseller, contact them in advance with any general questions you can think of, preferably by phone. This way you can gauge their customer service and willingness to work through any issues you might come across, whether it be hardware defects or just suggestions of flavours.
4. If you are not satisfied with the product you receive, contact the reseller to find out if the product is faulty or it just doesn't suit your personal preference.
The first e-cig I tried was about 4 years ago and had a battery that would cut out mid-draw (not fun). There are awesome devices out there now, it's just a matter of finding them (without wasting a lot of money).
And finally, I think that I probably speak for many people when I say that I enjoy vaping much more than I ever did smoking! It's just getting to that point that can be tricky when first starting.
