LOL. I want to be a mad scientist mixer, yes! In 2 months, I've bought about 10 kits. Two of my Smok Nord AIOs died a suspicious death. Grrr...
Hi Nancy and welcome! It's great you're off to a pretty good start. I'ts not always easy at the start, and even with months of vaping there may be occasional pangs for a cigarette but that does get much better over time. As to box mods, there's no reason to fear. They're no different from what you're using other than having some sort of up and down buttons to set the power level.
The premature deaths of Smok products is never suspicious, it's simply bad genetics that other manufactures thankfully are not afflicted with. Simply choose your mod's parent with care to minimize those tragic events.
Hey, Eskie. I can't cut n paste, so please bear with.
I did have cig pangs for a while, and was having a few puffs here and there, but it started to piss me off since I wanted to quit. Then, I got a VW vape (a FreeMax Twister) and it was really a way better vape.
Believe it or not, I had three Nord AIOs and two of them died on the same day!! I was stunned by the crappiness...
I am so done with Smok! Thanks for the kind welcome. This is a really nice place to hang out, talk to fellow vapers, and learn about gear. I lurked for a while, but am so glad that I joined up. But, having read about Glantz and related Deemed stuff, I'm worried that the FDA or whomever will try to shut down e-cigs.![]()
Well, it's not shut down yet. The best approach to take is first, stick with getting through the next weeks without a cigarette. Then, read up a bunch on here about the hardware and juice info. Then, after asking a lot of questions, you can start to prepare a little prepper stock of stuff that would see you through any vapolcalypse should it actually come to be. It is possible to be self supporting and no rely on companies to supply you with all your needs, a lot can be done all by yourself, and for a lot less money than buying commercial juices and drop in replacement coils.
But I wouldn't head in that direction right now. Nothing will come crashing down in the next few months. Concentrate on staying smoke free. That's your number one goal. The rest will fall into place as you learn more about all this stuff.
Welcome and glad you joined. The DIY juice sounds great, actually. But definitely not yet.
Welcome and glad you joined.
If DIY is easy/foolproof, fewer folks probably would be buying ready made e liquid mixes. It's kind of difficult to start out DIY'g when you are still trying out new equipment and establishing your taste favorites, wise choice.
I tend to use the same wattage, no matter which flavor I'm vaping, for the same PG/VG ratio of the e liquid. I have found that taste generally stays the same when I vary the wattage in a reasonable manner. With that being said, I find that I concentrate on searching for the ideal cloud production by changing the wattage and holding the same atty air flow characteristics/settings. This works for me. Once you get the above mechanics ironed out, you may find time to study DIY thoroughly before setting out mixing. Since vaping is totally scalable, the choice you have can be overwhelming. I find the main point to keep in mind is part of vaping is all about you the vaper, being in control whilst having the freedom to fix/tailor almost any aspect of vaping you feel you need to improve upon.I have to figure out what wattage works best with what juice.
Welcome and congratulations. I adjust af more often than wattage for the flavor sweet spot of each juice unless the coil resistance is also different.
A pack(plus a few more) of 30's a day.
Vaping has been very helpful[/QUOTE
Some of my juice seems to come alive at 50+. My Nautilus Mini isn't rocking the flavor that much, so I suspect I need a mod to get 12-15 watts. My Twister isn't that adjustable but it tasted way better at inbetween 10 and 20 watts.
