I thought I would introduce myself with my life story.

I smoked a little in school, i thought it was cool i guess, but never got addicted, and when i started working, I out grew it.

When I was about 25 I started smoking again like an idiot.

Mainly due to cost and smell I tried many times to quit after 5 years of smoking, i couldn't do it. I've now been smoking for 15 years, not counting school years.

A few years ago I tried an e-cig, a cigarette sized one with disposable cartridges. It did nothing for me, no throat hit, no nicotine absorption. I went back to smokes toot quick.

Last week I decided to try again, I put e-cigarette into google, found a review site as the second hit, they highly recommended halo, found out about the new (to me) tank system and ordered a starter kit and 30ml tribeca, 30ml mocha and a sample pack. I paid $65 in postage to get it to me asap, I think I ordered it on thursday and got it monday. monday night my tobacco ran out and I was determined to not buy any more tobacco.

The halo is a great system, but there's still a learning curve in technique to getting a good hit. More than a few times I seriously wanted a smoke, but stuck with the vap and after 5 or 6 days, the vap is doing it for me. I no longer need a smoke. In the mornings I need a vap, and I vap during the day, but the smoke cravings have stopped. so far.

My technique now is to draw into my lungs for 3 or 4 seconds, and then to get a good throat hit, for half a second while still drawing into my lungs I let air in through my nose. I find that very satisfying.

My first juice I tried was the mocha, and I stuck with that for a few days, then I finally tried the tribeca. both a nice, I think I like the mocha better, but I rotate them. I think the tribeca is a little thinner, and requires a gentler draw. I thought I had a leaky tank, but it was just my draw technique was too aggressive. trying to suck up the vapour too fast to get a nice throat in nicotine hit. But I've sorted that out. No more leaks, and at the moment I'm getting a better throat hit with tribeca.

So now I'm not just addicted to nicotine, I'm addicted to vapour hardware and juices (in 6 short days), and have ordered a glass tank with a bottom coil from china, with a battery and charger to play around with. although china is going on a national holiday so it will be 4 weeks before I get it. I also ordered another 7 or 8 30ml bottles of juice from halo, this time using the cheapest shipping available, which is $25. I hope it gets here before my other juice runs out.

hello, my name is chesty, and I'm addicted to vaping.

G'day! Your inhalation technique (although currently working for you) may end up giving you a sore throat and tight lungs. Check out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/337017-inhalation-technique-e-cigarette.html for more information.

I recently spent a year out in Australia, mostly in Tamworth, NSW but checked out a load of towns around the place, Dubbo, Broken Hill, Moree, Mudgee, Grafton, Yamba - hell all over the place. Nice place! Tamworth during the Country Music Festival was amazing. You Aussies have got yourselves some nice beers... my fave was Superdry. I miss it! :vapor:

hey denno, hey jhelliwell.

interesting about the inhalation technique post. I never smoked by drawing into my lungs, i always drew into my mouth then inhaled.
and I've never seen anyone draw a smoke into the lungs, only a joint. weird.

I'm not a big beer drinker, but tasmania and adelaide have the best beers by far.
