Just received my Halo triton starter kit today. Looking to seriously get into vaping. First thing I would like to change on my setup is my tip. Can anyone direct me to tips that have the same thread? (I would like to stay clear of adapters if possible).

Also I got a small bottle of the halo tribeca liquid with my order so I could vape right away when I received my kit. The throat hit is just a little much for me. My question is, is it common to want less throat hit? Also do fruity flavors generally have a smoother throat hit? I really like the flavor of the tribeca, it just makes me want to cough whenever I take a drag. I want to be able to pull back hard on my titan and produce big clouds.

Also any beginner tips would be appreciated, outside of regular cleaning. I plan on cleaning my wicks, coils and tanks every other day and rotating them. I think that should make them last a long time.

I know there are metal tips that fit, but don't know which model. Try the Halo forum-

Halo

For less throat hit, you may want to go lower with the nicotine level.

Try some of Halo's sample packs. I was surprised at what I liked- like Belgian Cocoa and Shamrock. Southern Classic is my new favorite.

When cleaning, let the tank and coil/wick air dry overnight.

You bought the best kit on the market, I believe, so I am sure you will love your Triton.

Welcome! :D

That's a pretty bold choice, for a first time vaper!

I'd have started with cartomizers, but hey, I moved up to a Triton too. ;)

Try leaving the bottle open overnight; it'll take the "bite" out of the juice.

There's no direct association, between throat hit, and flavor. The main ingredients in e-liquid are PG and VG. PG produces (most of) the throat hit, while VG makes the pretty clouds. Most juices are 70/30. Many vendors will use less PG for fruity flavors, but that's not always true.

Also consider the VV Triton. You can lower the voltage to achieve less throat hit as well. I have two of them that I love other than the fact I don't like the lack of accessory options because of the threads. Other than that I have dropped their VV multiple times and no problems! My favorite of theirs is Voodoo and Malibu. My wife won't let me cape any of the ones with cocoa because she says they stink. I also had a horrible batch of Southern Classic that made me think every clearomizer I had was burning out instantly so now I don't even want to think about that flavor but until that incident I did really like that one too!

Wow thanks for all the responses. I did adjust how I was drawing from my triton and that did help a bit with the throat hit. (I was smoking it like an analog cigarette) I also have ordered more juice. I believe I went with a 70/30 PG/VG mix. I went with more PG because I read that higher VG isn't the best in triton tanks and might crack them along with other adverse affects, I don't remember all of them off hand. Should I be okay with a 50/50 mix or even higher VG?

Thanks again for all the responses and I'm happy to be a part of this community. I feel like vapers are a close knit group of people and it's almost like the community of people that brew their own beer and things along that line.

Edit: I guess I ordered 60/40 PG/VG blend.
