Thank you very much for the info.
Realize the 510 only fires at 3.4 volts while the eRoll fires at 3.7 volts- that's the big attraction of the eRoll.
My eroll is seeming more appealing by the hour...just wish I had a place to keep my 2nd ecig!
I like the appeal of the 3.7V. I still don't fully understand it, but I am assuming the 3.7V and ego atomizer are the reason I am enjoying the hits off of this thing.

I saw the clearomizers, I was looking at this one:
https://www.canvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=M3510&CartID=3
However, I don't know if they will fit in the PPC for the 510.
I may go with the cartomizers, because I like the PPC options for the 510. -Keeps everything I need together and charged...

So do the cartomizers suffer from leakage at all?
Is the taste that bad with them that I would be disappointed after my eroll experience?

oyTech eGo fires at 3.3 volts while the Riva/ Kgo fires at 3.7 volts. Both manufactured by large and reputable companies.
Vision- love their Vivi Nova but hate their clearomizers.
Kgo- love the Kgo but hate the Kgo VV
Smok Tech- love their cartos but hate their clone Vivi Novas.

I have read about all the benefits of the larger units, but im really stuck on wanting a cig-a-like version for the look & portability, and with the ability of the PPC to carry around the same amount of charge as many of the other units (1350mah), I don't really see the benefits of of the larger devices, aside from the clearomizers (still have much more to learn though).

Hi converted. Glad to see you kicked the "Bad Habit". I never tried the Eroll. I started with something worse and not on the market anymore, Thank you Lord! :) I hated them and went back to the Tarred'n'Stinky's for months. Then when I decided that I REALLY had to do it I went with what I thought was a "No turning back" option which was the Ego-C. It did the trick for getting me past the jitters part. Then I discoverred the "Dessert Menu". Those cartridges just didn't hold enough juice after that. I went from 1000mah Ego's to 650mah TWIST's and then 1000mah TWIST's. Now those are my take to work batteries and my EVIC is my after supper dessert warmer. The best part is that the VIVI NOVA's carry 2.0 mls plus of juice so my desserts are extra large. I'm also not changing or filling tanks all day because I take 3 in my lunch kit on batteries. 2 coffee breaks and a lunch break. LOL! Now from what I'm learning I need a glass tank or 4, a PROVARI, a 50 CAL........................! This is a fun hobby.

...and not to be disrespectful, you have been very helpful; but do you work for Joyetech or something? you seem very positive on the Joyetech products...also, you keep saying OUR eroll...
Please forgive me if you do not...I have been accused of being paranoid before...but there does seem to be an infestation of one-sided information on ecigs all over the internet. It seems really hard to read through all the sales pitches and get to some real, unbiased opinions.

Aha! Nope, No Sir. I don't work for Joyetech, or any other org representing the e-Cig industry. And I don't think anyone else here is. We all intend to offer voluntary opinions.

I had been studying/reading/following the concept rigorously, which gave me much insight and chose the eRoll... feeling/understanding that I was not cut for the Mods, not as yet.

Yes, I referred "our eRoll" b'coz u, me and a massive team at the JOYETECH ERoll thread here became us.

My suggestion to the Canadian members is get 5 posts and then get the List from the Canada forum to find suppliers close to you.

I'd also suggest getting 2 battries right from the start, that way one is charging while you are using the other, it saves you from being "tethered" on a pass through and you always have one on the go while the other is full.

I am still a noob myself so it's only advice. I could be doing something wrong, but so far it has worked for me.

3.7 volts gives a decent hit and this is the reason it's so popular. Note many eRoll users up their nicotine because of the low batt life.

They're 2.8-3.0ohms- way to high even for a 3.7 volt PV. And I believe the eRoll has proprietary threads- you can't use regular 510 accessories- cartomizers, clearomizers, etc.
"The eroll has proprietary threading so unless whatever you want to use specifically states it is compatible most likely it isn't."
ALL my suggestions, including the Nano clearomizer, were in regards to you buying a 510 PV. You cannot use 510 cartos or clearos on the eRoll and unfortunately eRoll users are rather limited to the accessories they can use- either Joytech eRoll or Joyetech eCab stuff which basically use the same accessories.
Just be aware PV batteries are good for about 250- 300 recharges and then are tossed so if you're charging them 4? times per day...
A good PV but don't like the low batt life and the fact they are proprietary- suitable for a light smoker IMO.

well all right then:2cool: no disrespect intended...
You have actually taught me to appreciate my eroll a little more:vapor:.I must say, I do like how the eroll is the size of a REGULAR smoke, and not a king size.

I still wish they had made the pack a little bigger... so it could hold 2 batts (or full smokes, or some combination), at least 1 or 2 spare tanks...

So will I not be able to get the same performance from a 808 or 510 (or some othe cig-alike setup)?

I have a 2nd battery, I just cant store it in my charger as backup like you can with the 510 and 808 cig-a-like systems. Plus the way the eroll attaches the cartomizer makes it kind of fiddly to change back and forth between batts.

Cool! So the 510 and 808 cig-a-like systems don't put out 3.7V?

Ya, I was referring to the 510 system too in that quote. I meant that I was looking at one of those clearomizers to add to a new 510 system. I was wondering if I could fit those clearomizers in the 510 charge packs...in place of where the spare cartomizers go.

I understand that, but you can buy replacement batts for around $10 can't you? (must admit, I havn't done much research on this...)

I don't mind that at all, I'm hoping to quit these too once I kill this nicotine dragon!

No they're a lower voltage.

To be honest I really don't know.

Yes but notice many Vets that own the eRoll will take a few puffs and immediately place in back in the charger.

That's absolutely right and hey for what it is the eRoll is a GREAT PV. As with all Joytech products I expect either SLB or Vision will shortly come out with a model that's similar but possibly better- happened with the Twist and the eGo.
I've gotta go for dinner. By tomorrow I'll post some possible alternatives for you. in this thread.
Cheers.

I see...I have been flipping the ecig around and storing it in the case 'backwards' with the knowledege that the batts are expected to get ~300 cycles. I just assumed (with really zero knowledge or understanding) that if I continued tho recharge the battery after each mini-sesh, that I would go through the cycles faster and as a result not get full longevity out of the batt.
Can you set me straight?
That would probably solve a few of my issues quite well... My only concern after that would be that I go to pull the ecig out of the ppc, only to find out the PPC is dead! You cant check remaining charge on the PPC to my knowledge. The way I use it now (replacing the ecig in the PPC backwards until i get a low batt), I can get 3 recharges out of the PPC, so once I have done 2 recharges in the day, I know to be sure Ito get near my charger to charge the PPC back up again.
