Long time lurker/reader, finally a member.

I'll just dive right in: my current rotation, in the order I got them: 650mAh Ego, 900mAh ego passthrough, 1300mAh Vision Spinner, Young June Lavatube (Chrome), Lavatube 2.5, Silver Bullet (mechanical mod), and ProVari.

I joined mostly to get help with tanks and learn from you veterans.

I've got a decent amount of knowledge amassed, I've been rocking my Silver Bullet with a single coil rebuildable (.7ohm), and a dual coil rebuildable (.5ohm). Loving the dual. The ego batteries all use either Kanger Evod or Kanger T3S tanks (all with 1.8ohm heads). The VV mods pass around two tanks - a Genesis style rebuildable at 2.2ohm, and a simple tank (forgot the name) with a 2.2 bottom coil.

TL;DR version: The current reason I've finally decided to join is that I'd like some tank help. See, I've been loving the ProVari, but I've been having trouble finding the right tank for it. I'm a sharp hand with a Dremel (which is how I've made my current tank work much better. As anyone with a ProVari can understand, the collar on the outside kills a lot of tanks in that, if you screw the tank in tight, it will sit flush around that collar and have no airflow in. To these ends, I used my dremel and a small metal cutting stone to carve airflow channels in - Works fantastic now.

So, here's my first question (I'm sure there are many to come): What tanks do you suggest for my ProVari vaping? I'm considering the ProTank, since I've heard it's great for the ProVari (and it has those airflow channels already there, so worst case scenario is I just have to deepen the channels a little - I like a loose-ish draw)

I'm thinking the Protank 3 (the newer dual coil version) will be just the ticket. I'm partial to coil tanks, and have NO experience with carto tanks (although the IBTanked tanks are making them seem tempting.)

So, what do you guys suggest (several tanks are in my future, so all suggestions are great) Ideally not a carto, but that's just due to lack of experience with them. What would you guys suggest for my Provari? (and 19mm is the goal for a nice smooth fit)

Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks for the help!

I've been having some decent experiences with tanks. Obviously on my Egos, for conveniences sake when out and about, but they're just good for the daily grind at work and whatnot. I love my dual coil direct dripper at home (because clooouds) and the genesis is great (it'll be even better once I turn the mesh wick into a microcoil with a cotton wick) but I just want to find a good tank so that I can use my ProVari wherever. I think I can make the Protank work well if I grind out the air channel a little and maybe recoil the head (I love to tinker with them) and the IBTanked ones sound promising if I can figure the cartotanks out. But I'm still looking for alternate suggestions

I really like my ProtankII both regular and mini. I'm holding off on the ProtankIII atm because I've heard both good and bad things. Last I heard the coils were on top of each other running parallel and some were having problems with one of the coils being starved of air/liquid. I figure I'll wait a bit till Kanger gets the kinks worked out. Welcome to ECF!!! Happy Vaping :toast:

Another question I had - Whatever tank I end up with, Protank (2?3?), IBTanked, etc, I'd like to get a green glass tube (my provari is black with the green LED) so I think that would look sexy on it.

Where can I get a dark green replacement glass for the protank? I've only been able to find lighter green shades. I still don't feel like digging into the Cartotank at IBTanked yet, since I'm working on my coil building chops

I would ask a professional glass blower if you have specific color desires. I know a few of them and they are able to make some amazing things. Pyrex style glass is a little harder to work with because of the tolerances involved but it is probably worth going that route for the "durability". Your profile says Columbus so I would check out Glass Axis | Glass Art Studio as a place to find local glass blowers.
On a different note, where do you buy your supplies in Columbus? I am headed that way in January and I like to check out local shops.

I'll look into that. As for Columbus, I just moved here, but I'm partial to AltSmoke on High Street. It's a pretty kickass shop.
