I've been smoking my 510 for about 3 weeks now and I haven't quite stopped smoking yet(from 2 pks a day to 1/2 a pk the first day tho) but I am loving this thing.Went to the doctor today and asked his opinion on e-cigs for quitting and he said, "Any way that works is great and I see a lot of patients that are being successful with those." So here's hoping to end that nasty habit permanantly.
I have managed to buy a bunch of different e-liquids from various places that I don't like and was wondering if there was a "swap" forum here or someplace I could be pointed to? So far my favorite was the Titan tobacco flavor that came in my Totally Wicked 510 kit(16mg).The bottles they sell on the site aren'tthe same taste to me either.If there's anybody in the US willing to trade me some(or sell possibly) I would be indebted to you.I have some Titan and some Vapor Stations to trade.But I only want the 16mg Titan tobacco flavor that comes in the kits.

Thanks for the information on the swap section webbcm127 and gatorfan,guess I was just passing right over it and not noticing. I like this foum much better than any of the others I've been to,lot's more real information,not just my mods better'n your mod over and over.
Good to see a neighbor so soon Jennie O,I'm actually in Arlington and until the Superbowl and the new stadium it was usually easier to say Dallas or people wouldn't know where I was,now thats changed and I'll be glad when its over and gone,way too much disruption to the whole city already and its not even here yet(rant over).
Nice to meet you all though and thanks for the help again.

Dropping from 40 per day to 10 per day is remarkable. As Scooter says, don't focus on the amount you still smoke. Sounds as if it will come, especially if you can get your juices smoothed out. Lived in Austin and had many friends in Arlington - nice place. Wasn't too fond of Dallas proper though.

Well,as of today my wife and I have decided to call it quits completely.I'm using the e-cig and she's using the patches and xanax lol(really).I'm now feeling kinda guilty because what I'm doing looks like I'm smoking and I don't want it to make her crave or anything.I bought her a kit but she chokes on every drag so she wont touch it now.
Here's keeping my fingers crossed and my batteries charged.

Congrats on quitting! I didnt think I could do it with a patch or pill, I needed that oral fixation/smoking act too much, so when I saw a friend's ecig that was it...had to try it, and never looked back! So good luck to you both!

If she is choking on every drag it sounds like she is inhaling cigarette-style. I still forget sometimes and take a sharp abrupt inhale like you would when you light up a cig, but vaping requires a different style of inhalation with a slight learning curve. It's far better to take a few seconds to slowly draw the vape into the mouth, then let some into your lungs. Of course if the patch and Xanax ends up working for her, then great! Congrats to you both and I wish you success.

My doctor is also thumbs up on the vaping. I've tried chantix twice, and he always tells me, "let me know when you are ready to try it again".........I told him about the personal nicotine vaporizer, and he's actually proud of me!

Sorry I haven't checked on this post lately,had bronchitis that turned to pneumonia and still trying to recover.Wife has totally given up on quitting for now,she just really doesn't want to quit yet is the thing I think,whenever if ever is ok tho I guess.I'm still hovering a little below a half a pack a day too tho,strange that when I got sick,vaping was harder than analogs on my lungs.I'm coughing horribly as is and I'd take a vape and almost turn purple,but analogs don't do that,,much.Plus,everytime wifey lights up,,,it still SMELLS so good,,even if they don't TASTE so good anymore.

@BeatNic-I made sure she didn't ever have to deal with primer taste(yuck) or dry atty's,probably way she inhales and I just don't think she ever really wanted to quit,even tho it was her idea,she just knows she should quit.
@Scootypuff-I think she was trying more like someone smoking pot myself,even tho to my knowledge she's never even tried the stuff,lol.I had to keep going,let it out!let it out!
@bmwjen-Our doc was really glad to giver her xanax, for short term,if it was gonna help,doesn't hurt to ask.I have a drawer full of the stuff but unless I just want to sleep all day it isn't much help to me.Chantix just scares me,I know not everyone is gonna have major side effects like some in the papers etc.,but I just don't care to risk it.
@Jennie O-Bad weather is now gone and I definately won't ever miss cold like that,hate cold,ice,snow all that mess--gimme warm or even hot anyday.Defiantely agree on the fixation,I GOTTA have something to replace analogs same as you and I don't think I can puff on a patch,lol.

Don't give up. I'm a firm believer that if someone finds the right Juice/the right atomizer or cartomizer/ and the right PV, they can quit smoking easily. Problem is so many sub-par units out there, and junky juice its hard for someone to find the right combo. Do most people need massive voltage slammed into 36mg/ml nic juice with 10% Everclear mixed in? Nah. But there is a HUGE variety of options out there that can completely overhaul your vaping experience.

When you buy a unit and a juice from one place, and it doesnt work, try from someplace else. Don't give up ! Its worth the money spent to keep testing different voltages and different juices and different atomizers and different cartomizers until you find what will allow you to be smoke free.

Frisco area here, started out with the 7/11 special(x-hale02) menthol, max nic-was crappy, but good enough to pursue better units. Was definitely turned off by the burnt plastic taste of their carts(not constant taste, but sometimes present). Before I found this forum, I got duped by directe-cig,
and they tried to charge me $100 for 30 hit or miss carts. The unit was way better than the xhale, but carts sucked-10 to a box, 5 in a cellophane, some where nice and soaked, others only gave up 2 or 3 puffs and were bone dry. Needles to say, they refunded the $100 and I got to keep the carts anyways, so I have plenty for refilling.
Just ordered my eGo last night, with drip tip, and some 6ml juices to try from ms t's bakery. I am interested in trying other juices, if anyone wants to do some taste testing sometime. I ordered blueberry pie with ice-cream, coconut, and waffles. Can't wait to get back to vap'n, been out of carts for a couple weeks and killing more and more analogs-I'm tired of smelling like a smoker.
