Hello all,

I've been browsing this forum for some time, watching youtube vids and looking at various vendor websites, and I think I have a good idea of what I need to get started, but I'd like to get some experienced vapers opinions on my parts list. Hopefully some of you can critique it for me.

10ml T.W. Titan Fluid Flavor: Cappuccino

Now to some things I'm not sure about... As you can see, I have selected a Tornado Mega 1000mh battery to use with the low resistance 510 atomizer(I have read great reviews about this item), which requires a battery over 450mah. I plan to do the atomizer wick/threads removal mod to the LR 510 atomizer and use it strictly for dripping with the tornado battery at my desk/home.
I also have a Titan Mega 510 280mah battery that I plan to use with the regular 510 atomizer for use on the go, such as in the car. I will leave the wick in this atomizer and possibly use cartridges as dripping will be inconvenient while I'm out and about, and also would just like to try them, although I understand dripping to be the superior method. I have thought about, and decided against, the Tornado tank as it doesn't come in a LR atomizer option, and apparently doesn't give as much vapor or 'kick' as a 510 reg atomizer.

As far as the battery charger... There is a charger for the Tornado that says it will blow Titan batteries, but there is no mention as to whether the Titan charger I have selected will charge the Tornado 1000mah battery. I expect it will, just that it will take a long time.

Part of me thinks maybe I should scrap the Titan Mega 280mah battery altogether, and just go with 2 tornado 1000mah batteries, and get the tornado battery charger, but I think the Titan Mega battery looks more streamlined, like a normal cigarette, and will not look so weird in public as the humongous and odd shaped tornado batt with a 510 atty on the end??!

As for e-juice and nicotine levels, I have read that newbs should steer clear of the tobacco flavored juices(which I would have initially gone for), and I love coffee, so I've decided to go with coffee and cappuccino. I'm not sure on what nicotine level I need, but I like the idea of something strong, so I'm going to get the coffee in 36mg, and the cappuccino in 18mg, and try and decide which strength and flavor I like best, although from what I've read, the strength does affect the taste? So I may not be able to decide which flavor I prefer based on taste alone, since I am getting them in different strengths? Should I also steer clear of the 36mg as a newb? My initial instinct is to go for the strongest available... I currently smoke 1.5 - 2 packs of analogs a day:oops:

Oh, and one more thing, about the drip tip, I have read that the aluminum can impart a funny taste? and that the more open mouthpiece creates more airflow which some people do not like? Any input on that? I have also read that the LR atty can melt some carts, or plastic tips, which is why I initially thought the aluminum would be a good thing, but now I am not so sure? Also, is there a reason the LR atty costs LESS than the normal version? Does it not include something that the reg version does? Ahh, another thing, does the 5v 'pass through' make a reg atty as good as an LR atty? perhaps with a longer life than the supposedly short-lived LR's?

Anything else you can see that I am missing? or should change? Sorry for the long winded post, but taking the time to read it and any advice or input is greatly appreciated!

It kinda sounds like younmight be over thinking it all a bit.
However I'm so glad you aren't going to be making the same mistake that I did, meaning I am vaping going on two weeks now, and am on my THIRD PV. And have spent HUNDREDS on equipment.
You're doing the right thing on researching everything before hand.
That being said though, keep it simple at first. I have tried some LR attys myself, and they run VERY hot. So hot in fact that it wasn't very satisfying to VAPE from them.
The pv that I am currently using is called the t-Rex, it is a Joye ego clone, liberty flights is selling a similar one right now, a kit for $30.00. In that kit you get two 750mah batteries, charger, two attys, and a few carts. You can't go wrong with that setup. Maybe get a LR atty and a drip tip if you want. But all new PV's come with an empty cart that you can usefor dripping, you just have to take it off every ti e you want to drip. Personally I found dripping to be too much a PITA, because of my early mistakes on purchases though I have, and am using exclusively a 510 mega atty, and cart. That cart holds twice the juice as a normal 510, so I don't have to refill except for every half an hour or so, and this combination gives me more VAPE, better VAPE then my normal 510 attys.
The LR attys as I said just burned my throat, I ended up giving them to friends. I have a tank atty, and carts on their way to me. I get so damn tired of the juice leaking out all the time. Plus I won't have to refill as much.
Now for juice, don't limit yourself to only one flavor, try out at least two completly different ones.
My first flavors were "marlboro" and "camel" I'm on my third juice order, and am still ordering them (I found I like the two mixed together, so I get one pg, and the other vg and blend them in a third container). Also I NEVER smoked menthol before, but find it is my favorite so far. It really makes me feel like I just hadna real smoke. Its faboulous.
I hope I helped, I guess I'm a little prejudiced to dripping to. I've done it a ton of times, but it seemed like too damn much work for me. A lot less like smoking. It is maintenance every third or fourth drag, I didn't have to get another smoke out of a pack, and re light it every fourth drag, I smoked a whole smoke.
Thats how I feel about carts/vs dripping, and why I'm so looking forward to the tank system.

If Tornado is the name of their fat battery 510 model then I think you need a Tornado charger or it will charge slowly

And I don't see a cowl or cone or whatever it is called. I think it is part of what makes the vape stronger on an Ego or Ego-alike in this case. if you don't get the cone then you are just making a 510 with a longest lasting battery.

And just my opinion - I like that vendor but I recommend buying real Joye brand. I don't like some of the clone parts that are around.

+1 on trying a riva /ego kit to start, the 510 parts are widely available and the battery
life is long enough to keep from being frustrated. (my first "slim" battery wouldn't last
my entire drive to work)
Regarding size, the pictures make it look bigger than actual life size. Since I've graduated
to a bigger mod, the 900mah batteries feel tiny, toy-like in my hand now.

LR attys, cartos, nice once a while, not the nirvana vape and can be tricky for a noob to
keep wet enough without flooding. Start simple, get your sea legs, figure out what direction
you want to go (more vapor, more heat, more TH, OR less of the same).

Juice wise, 3ml samplers in lots of flavors, strengths, tobacco and others, see what
strikes your fancy. Some here swear by tobacco flavors, some swear at them, till you
taste them there's no way to tell which you are.

I would highly recommend to for starters, concentrate on one style of PV, get more atomizers than you do batteries, drip tips rock, and try for original manufacturers. By original manufacturers I mean if you want an eGo, buy a Joye, if a 2 piece is what you want, get an original kanger. There is something to be said for makers of e cigs that have been around for awhile.

You can get some TW stuff if you want, and It's really good quality, but a few juice suppliers you may want to check out: tastyvapor, madvapes, liquid express, johnson creek, to name a few. LR atties are great on mods with replaceable 900 mah protected batteries, not so hot on the mosfet driven ego or riva batteries. There are, however some low resistance cartomizers you may want to check out, many of which use the 510 battery thread you find on an ego.

Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The island has a surface area of 390 km² and over 2000 inhabitants. The inhabitants of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed themselves with the Bugis from Sulawesi. The population are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu minorities.Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. This island is not famous only for its heritage of convicts but also for the unique fauna named komodo Dragon. The Komodo dragon is the largest living lizard in this world. A type of monitor lizard, it inhabits Komodo and some of the smaller surrounding island.

Yes I think I was over-thinking things. I didn't know the Tornado was a knockoff. I had just gone to that vendors site cause I had seen it on some youtube vids. I found an eGo-T kit
https://www.cignot.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=KIT-EGT-ALL&CartID=1
on cignot.com that let me select 1000mah batteries for $4 more each, which is what I wanted (didn't want the 650mah's), so I went with that kit for $87, and added a couple of 20ml bottles of Joye PG liquid, Cappucino and Ruyan in 24mg strength. Grand total $111. Throwing my faith into this tank system and will decide later whether or not I want to try a conventional or LR 510 atty and the drip method. May order one when I need to order more juice.
