Hello from Devon

Hi all! This is a repeat from my first post in the newbies sections and as a brand new e-smoker, I thought I would just introduce myself.

I'm from sunny Devon in the UK (yeah! right!) with links to Liverpool (which I consider to be my spiritual home). I am 57, talk to aeroplanes for a living (well it beats trees!) and will evenutally find a sensible profession when I grow up. I gave up smoking several years ago but still occasionally roll Old Holborn in liquorice paper when the pressure gets to me. I am also one of those weird people who actually likes nicotine chewing gum.

Oh and I play the guitar and used to be the head Vampire in the South West of England!

Sadly, I only found this forum after I bought a Gamucci (following an interesting piece in the Daily Mail about a guy from Anfied in Liverpool (figures!) who got a hard time from the local council while smoking an e-cig in his delivery van. Thought it would be an interesting thing to try and am pleased that my Gamucci is still working a week later! Am seriously considering getting a Titan 510, having read some interesting posts here (any thoughts gratefully received) and look forward to chatting with others of a like mind.

Cheers!

Kev.

Waves to Kev as I'm not a million miles from him - just over the Tamar in Cornwall :D (Though also originally from up North).

I've always tended to recommend the DSE901 as a good one for beginners. Mainly due to it being so easy & relatively cheap, to buy spares for. However, lots of others highly recommend the 510 :)

I'm actually a little bit out of the loop these days about which are the best generic e-cigs as I now only use 2 "mods" - a Screwdriver made by Trog & a GG made by Imeo. I'm sure others will be along to help you soon but just thought I'd say hi :)

Thanks for the welcome, all. I can see me ending up with ALL the various e-cigs that are available at this rate! So much for saving money on tobacco!

Seriously, from what I can gather, it's important to be able to get spare parts which rules out my Gamucci (yeah, it's a micro!) when it dies as Gamucci seem to be a triumph of marketing over product. (Any ideas where I can get spare atomisers and batteries would be helpful if anyone knows?)

BTW, Crash, I grew up in the sixties so I have done my fair share of tree-hugging in the past!

Thanks again,

Kev.

True enough, Blackbug. Same here. I just wish I had found this forum before I bought it.

Hiya - wouldn't worry too much about that - I spent about 2 days worth of research before buying a Titan / 510, and then thought maybe I should have splashed out on a Screwdriver or alternative!

2 months in and I'm still only using the 510...I'll have broken even in a months time! :D

You nutcase!

Is that a 3.7v or a higher voltage thing?

3.7 5 and 6

Think of it as an investment....in years to come when tobacco has become a thing of the past and vaping has taken over, you can open up a museum!

lmao i sure do have enough things to do so

As an update, I have just received my Titan 510 from TW this morning. The manual battery takes a bit of getting used to but so far so good! I also got some of their 36mg menthol liquid - wow! That is some hit! So it looks like the Gamucci wil be going in the drawer for some considerable time!

Still, if anyone has other tips, etc, then please forward them!
