Welcome to ECF!

Lots of help and advice here. What is your budget? Where are you located? Oh duh, London, as I was typing, I forgot.

If you want an inexpensive battery with quite a bit of power, I would recommend an iStick 30w. For a tank, the Aspire nautilus mini. About $50 total. Of course there are lots of other options.

Love or at least like the juice you vape. Vape as much as you want, don't worry if your ecig doesn't leave your hand for the first couple of weeks. Read read and read ECF, And ask as many questions as you need too, you have a lot to learn but it doesn't take long.

Chech out the Reo Grand mod, it's a great vape.

Good luck you made a great decision to start vaping.

I don't want to scare you away from the iStick 50w but, in case you don't know, there have been some serious problems with some of them including at least one that caught fire while charging. The 30w has had fewer problems. I really like my iStick 20w with Nautilus mini (I have several).

I'm sure someone will come along with some recommendations for higher power mods.

A lot of members here like the Aspire Nautilus mini or full size with BVC coils.

A cheaper alternative to the Nautilus is the Eleaf GS Air M or MS. They run about $10 and are very decent tanks.

The Kanger Subtank is very popular also. The Subtank mini comes with a RBA option that can be rebuilt to your liking. The Subtanks are about $30.

Hi and welcome. I think very highly of the iStick 30, not so much the 50. And I like the MVP 3.0 or 3.0 Pro even better. I also think the EVIC VT merits a close look. It has the temp control circuitry as well, and I think this is the coming thing. Getting one now might save you some money later.

Hi gandy.

I have an aspire V1 tank and was going to buy the istick 50w version as I'm bound to want to upgrade.
I've had a few failed attempts with vaping over the last year or so and have wasted £££ so I'm really hoping to get the right kit this time.

From my research it would be best to stay away from the istick 50w, it is potentially dangerous. The istick 30w however, does not seem to share the same problems and would be a great device as a first pick. The tank that personally got me to quit cigarettes was an Aspire Nautilus Mini, it is regarded as one of (if not the best) tank in its class. Feel free to ask questions, we're all here to help.

I stick 30w gets great reviews so I bought one. Love it, and still use it with my RDA. I did the Subtank nano and it was great. The nautilus mini gets so many great reviews here I can't imagine it isn't awesome, but I can't personally attest to it.

If I we're doing tank systems I would be doing the i stick 30w and Naut mini or Subtank nano or mini. The mini will allow you to rebuild coils if you are a tinkerer, while the nano will not (must purchase the replaceable coils).

See if you can see them in store for size comparisons. The nautilus mini can have a cage added to protect the glass as well. Any of the described options are pocketable and will give you tons of options regarding vapor heat, vapor production, and airflow.

If you do go the route people are suggesting in this thread you'll save yourself the frustration most of us went through with gas station cigalikes and other junk.

Good luck and welcome.

lol no worries Daniel.

I just had a look for Smooke liquids and I can get them online for £3.99 plus postage, I've ordered pure mist and Apollo liquids already so I give them a try once all my kit arrives but I've added the smooke to my list 'to try' liquids.

Update~: I have ordered istick 30w with a nautilus mini from amazon, its on prime so I should have it tommorow.

Matt;)

That's good.

As for your choices in e-liquid.. (*comment deleted*)

Welcome to the forum Matty101 and good luck with the switch to vaping. You've already had great advice but I'll just add you will need a back-up battery (so you can vape whilst one is charging), and possibly a back-up for your back-up ;)

The I stick 30w has pass through so you can vape while you charge, but there's nothing wrong with a backup.
