Hi all from the home of today's Kentucky Derby -- I lost most of what I bet on it ;)

Anyway, I'm new to vaping -- three weeks -- but I haven't bought a pack of analog cigarettes since (American Spirits, a pack a day for three years).

I've been going through 2-3ml of either 18 or 24 each day, which seems to be good for me right now. I haven't really experienced any WD symptoms though from the real smokes. I don't know why.

Glad to be here.

Welcome and you're not having any withdrawal symptoms because you aren't withdrawing from anything but tar and the 326 other chemicals that big tobacco adds to their cigarettes. Don't quote me on the 326. Also the nicotine is the addictive substance in cigarettes and you are still using that which is why you're not experiencing any symptoms of withdrawal.

Welcome and glad you joined. Vaping is totally scalable, what works for you is what is important.

Hey ECF. An update on me... I'm cig-free for almost five months and it's 100% due to vaping.

I mostly lurk here but I've graduated from cigalikes to a pen and then recently bought my first box mod from a local vape shop and an Aspire Evo tank for it. (Two more tanks are on the way!)

Thanks for the replies and now that I'm getting more into the mechanics of vaping I may talk more

Congrats on quitting cigarettes, that's fantastic. Smoking American Spirits may be helping you here, as they are no additive tobacco, so though you would have been detoxing from less stuff, possibly. There's still the tar and the tobacco though, so I'm so happy you were able to transition so easily.

To be fair, I was using American Spirit no additive tobacco, but I had a whale of a time with W/D at first... It could be that you were smoking far LESS than I was and for less time, I was about 2-3 ppd smoker when I finally switched to vaping, and I dual used for a bit, but was able to eventually find the right vape tools to let me quit. Congrats on your vaping switch and welcome to ECF!

I smoked roll your own American Spirit and my withdrawal experience wasn't bad either. The extra stuff they add to Marlboros etc complicates the issue. I really enjoy vaping and bounce between 1.8 and 1.2 with a high PG concentration. Downstream I hope to lower the nicotine level. The important thing is that I haven't smoked tobacco since 7/17 and miss it less and less. Vaping is really a game changer and I wish you the best of luck.
