Hello from Michigan!

Hi! I am brand new to vaping and the forum. A friend at work showed up with an eGo and I was instantly curious. I thought maybe this could be my answer to quitting. So I ordered exactly what he had from the same vendors... My liquid came on Saturday, but no eGo! So I went to 4 different smoke stores looking for anything with empty cartridges with no luck. I wanted to quit smoking RIGHT NOW! I remebered my mom had a top of the line (in 2008) e-cig and rushed over to see if I could borrow it. It was great! I didn't need or want a cigarette... Then my husband stepped on the charger and roke it. I was screwed! So I bought a couple crappy OneJoys from 7-11. Yeah, they suck so bad. I was about to give up and go buy a pack of smokes, then I found a shop in Lake Orion that sold "real" e-cigs. I anxiously waited til noon when they opened, huffing on my mom's dying and weak LeCig. I drove out there and got a half hour long sales pitch, but I would have bought anything at that point not to smoke. So I ended up with an overpriced rebranded 510 called Green 360. He didnt even know how big the battery is... the manual claims 750mAh, but I have my doubts. But I'm still not smoking!!! And thats worth every penny to me.

So with all odds against me, here I am. Loving vaping and wanting to tell every smoker in the world that they can do it with this. I just wanted to share the beginning of my journey. I wrote this out on my Android tablet, so please excuse any typos.

Welcome to ECF, lots of Michiganders here! Pretty much everyone here started with disposable or otherwise "meh" PVs, it's practically a rite of passage LOL.

I checked out that Lake Orion store online and it didn't look compelling enough for a drive (I am just north of Flint) down. However if you ever get out Grand Rapids way, there's one that's just opened up that I'd love to check out. I believe this vendor is an ECF-approved vendor, too, (I think - someone will correct me if I'm wrong.)

Dan & Dave have a great store in GR. It's a bit of a drive from Warren, but for me it would be worth it. Hand crafted while you wait, fairly priced, and a great vaping lounge area... I was there four times in my first four days of vaping (Last Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday), They are a fount of information and treat you right. Fairly priced hardware and yummy liquids. I'm a fan boy.

Just thought I would mention that sometime in the near future there will be a vape lounge opening in Swartz Creek...don't know how close that is to you tho, but they make the best e-liquid ever!! Hello jadedsurrealism welcome to ECF. Just so you know there is a vendor in Farmington now. Called Great Lakes Vapor. Never been there but have heard good things about it here on the forum.

So neat to see another vapor so close to home on the forum. I grew up in Warren and lived there for a few years as a grown up.
This is an awesome forum for ?? or to discuss any thing vapor related.

Thanks for all the advice! Grand Rapids and Schwartz Creek are pretty serious hikes for me, but I'll look into the one in Farmington. I just can't believe how easy this has made it for me to quit... now to just settle on a few choice juice flavors, they're all so good!

Oh, cool! That's where I went to college at a little over a year ago (My grandparents live in Flushing, so I had family nearby). That store wouldn't happen to be the tobacco store that opened up a little bit ago, where they sold tobacco that was mixed right in front of ya, would it? It was, last I remember, across from the cafe near the town center area, down from the hill leading to Baker College and sold e-liquids (but only in 10ml bottles, great for emergencies though).

Edit: Saw what the store is named and realized there is also one in Bay City, right across from the mall...where there is one of those mall kiosks set up. I didn't think they sold e-juice, just cartos and batteries, but I am not 100%, as I never bothered to check it out.

Actually I live in Dundee, which is only about 30 miles north fo Toledo, OH., but knew about the Swartz Creek Cafe because I love their juices...LOL!

tyleris, thanks for the heads up and I bookmarked the Ahlusion website. Swartz Creek is maybe 15 minutes from me (I'm in Mt Morris just north of Flint.) You're near Cabelas, you lucky thing! Also good to hear about an Owosso store - Bangtango do you have a name for the place?

There's a smoke shop in Grand Blanc that sells some of the crappier beginner e-cig set ups (disposables, Smoke51) along with a very limited selection of juice. I like the guy who owns the store, bought my hand-rolling tobacco from him for years, but tried his juice once and it's really horrible.

im from michigan also... was just up in flint last weekend wished i would have known about the cafe in Swartz creek i would have stopped by do like to find other juices to try... i do like mister-e juices and have tried a few from kzoo vapor shop they too have a store front and lounge to sample flavours... do if you get the chance to stop by both places nice folks and lots of different flavours to try...

I live in the Saginaw area and was just wondering if there are any stores around here that sell vaping supplies. I have checked a lot of the tobacco stores but all they have is crappy starter kits.
