Hey Everyone, spydrummer here with the mandatory introduction! Why is my name spydrummer? Because all my current user names for other things have been taken here.... Really? Really. I have reverted to my middle school days and brought spydrummer back to life. I am a professional musician and Percussion director for a school district in Mississippi. Love my job. As for vaping: I've been vaping for 2 months-cigarette free for one month. Started with the blu and realized about 4 days later that even though the Johnson Creek prefilled carts tasted great, the batteries and carts themselves weren't going to keep up with my needs. My mom, who is on this forum somewhere turned me onto the larger world of "real" e ciggery. I immediately got online researched what was out there- I bought some ego twists, a vamo, boge single coils, smokteck dual coils, a vivi, a protank, an iclear 30, and juices from namberjuice, highbrow, and Mt. Baker. I've rebuilt the coils on my vivi and protank successfully. I have been very happy so far, and despite the two month period of time I wouldn't call myself a n00b - rookie would be fair enough. I know that was a long intro, but hey, you know something about me now. I look forward to our interactions and sharing some info with you all, or should I say "y'all."

Peace

Well Howdy then to go with "y'all"!

Welcome to the forums, sounds like you have a good start on vaping, congrats for that, and their is tons of good info here for nOObs, "rookies", and pros so have fun and vape on. I know every time I think I am the kitty's meow I find someone doing something better and am back to the workbench, that for me is the fun though. Enjoy.

A musicians thread? Very cool. Rebuilding coils is more intimidating than it is difficult. I haven't built anything complicated or fancy, just the 'grab the wick with one hand and wrap 5 times with kanthal in the other hand' type coils. I don't have a true RBA yet, and I'm not sure if i think it's worth it to get into the resistance/non resistance coils at the moment. Don't have any vaping friends out here to try their stuff and go "wow, I want that." Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

Hello! Sounds like you pretty much started out on the right foot! My husband is a Drummer..has been for over 40 years. He just plays at home now out in his "Man Cave"

Don't know how things are in your "neck of the woods" but where I live in North Alabama, I've yet to meet or even see another Vapor. You wouldn't believe the dirty looks I get sitting in my car in a Parking Lot Vaping away. Then again, it takes us about 2 years to catch on to the rest of the States.

Oh, we're certainly in the same boat! I doubt we will ever have a brick and mortar in MS. Alabama has hope at least, but not much more than we do, lol. I love Mississippi, but sometimes it can be very frustrating, especially for a techie musician like me, ha! Oh, and the looks! I've been told that my vamo looks like a certain women's device that rhymes with Bilbo... (I don't know what we're allowed to say here yet)

Thanks for sharing your Vaping experiences. I started out trying to quit cold turkey but had terrible urges and bought a Blu kit 5 mos ago. The blu ecig served its purpose, but i was always waiting for the battery to charge. A friend told me we had a local vape shop in my small town and my Vaping journey began...I discovered 3 more vape shops within a 15 mile radius and of course the web. Who knew quitting cigs could be so rewarding.

Yes it's true, the blu is very frustrating- I almost quit trying to quit right then. Without my mom and the Internet I would be smoking right now. I'm sure many people try a blu or something similar and go right back to smoking. My biggest difficulty was accepting that I couldn't buy the Johnson creek blu juices. I don't know if it's the PG or the flavor, but I find most juices have a 'taste' that blu didn't. I've ordered some VG juices from Johnson creek and others to figure that out. I steep and all that, but despite getting used to some juices, I still like the way blu cartridges taste.
