There are 2 vape shops in my area and 1 is selling the Vivi Nova V1 (at a considerable mark up) while the other is selling the V2.5 (again not exactly for cost but a bit better price). The shop owner selling the v2 was telling me to dump all of my v1 because they can kill your battery. I have done a few searches on here and even googled vivi nova v1 frying battery but everything I found came down to bad batteries or a shorted coil.

Has anyone heard of this issue? I have been using the v1 for months and it is what finally allowed me to get off analogs. I am not exactly willing to drop one shop even if their prices are inflated for another just because of some trash talk. Any information would be appreciated.

On a side note I have a Vamo and some juice from Highbrow in the mail so I can get away from these shops.

Thanks for the vid and the info!

So this brings up new questions. The guy selling the v2.5 is hyping them as not having the shorting issue but GG stated in his vid that it happened to him on both the v1 and the v2. Is this issue now fixed with the 2.5? Should I be worried about using this with my Vamo when it gets here?

Thanks again!

I ended up filing the posts down on the vivi nova tanks I have right before I saw the light, better known as Genesis-style RBA's. The vivi's were great on my Robust, but the Vamo I have doesn't like the longer posts, and you'll probably have to mess with the post if you change tanks or take it off to clean the atty. Have you looked at the Kanger T3 or MT3? You'll need an eGo-510 adapter, but your local shop should have them for less than $3

GG doesn't even know the difference between a V1 and V2, so how would he know?
Long wicks .. short wicks, you can use any head in them that you want. There was an additional insulator sleeve added in the heads that really didn't change a thing.

The V1 has the air hole in the side of the base, and the V2 has the air hole in the side of the connector. As a result the center pin in the V1 was way to long, and pushed the center post of the PV down causing the short.

With any atty/carto/clearo ALWAYS make sure the the center pin is flush with the edge of the connector. If it's not, you may have problems. If the pin is to far in, it may not make a connection. If it's to far out, it can damage your PV.

Thanks for all the info. Not cutting GG any slack but I have been very surprised how few people know about the vent hole. All ready checking my vivis for the center pin.

Not sure if I'll go with a Kanger but I am now looking at other RBAs. I don't like the idea of having to buy another part to get the kanger to work but I am very interested in the bottom feeder style.
