This looks like a nice, large, international group of people all enjoying the vapors. Cool. Just wanted to say 'hi' and introduce myself.

I switched from a 1.5 pack a day Camel Filter habit to vape 2 years ago, and got much of my lung power back. My first device was a slim, rechargeable cartomizer from V2, and with that I learned that for the first time despite many prior attempts, I could successfully put down the Camels. Since then, I've been through a couple successively larger units from V2 and Vaporfi, and learning some things the hard way. Finally I discovered the world of sub-ohm vaping and low-maintenance smoking, and got a Presa TC100W (Wismec) mod with a 4 ml Viper tank (Vaporfi). Then I discovered this forum. Lots of good info in here, I'm still reading!

Thanks,
Kurt

Thanks for the welcome, everyone (y'all to us NC folks).

LOL. Yes Vaporfi is one of the things learned the hard way. One of the first things I did when I found this page was search it for Vaporfi. There seems to be lots of consensus that their hardware is overpriced. I was bummed when they discontinued atomizers for the tank they had sold me just a year before. But that turned out to be a good thing, as it pushed me to discover TC and sub-ohm vapor clouds!

I think we call this a silver lining.

What certain brands do is astonishing (and not in a good way).
Full credit to them; I mean it takes some serious commitment to completely rig the internet in your favor, eliminate all trace of a previous company that was exposed for what is was, bribe review sites & reviewers, sell hardware manufactured in China for up to three times of the price of the equivalent sold by Kanger and Innokin and (the icing on the cake) actually confuse people into thinking you are making FDA approved e-liquid.
These guys aren't just clever, they are actually 'god-like' at what they do.

It takes something special to sell a $29 e-cig for $119 (and not in a good way)

BUT, sadly, I do not believe in the true capitalist bible. Eventually, there always comes a time of reckoning.
That time is certainly close in the UK. The real price of e-cigarette hardware is almost common knowledge as more and more people take up Vaping. The market will find it's own way. The biggest problem for millions across the globe is people's own governments preferring smoking to vaping.

Governments (and tobacco companies) are the enemy. Vaping brands that got lucky are small fry in the overall scheme of things.

Wow. They sound like the Church of Scientology LOL. Vaporfi by L .ron Hubbard. Well they got me by having a lot of independent looking positive reviews on third-party looking websites.

Thanks for the background though. I've read most everything you've said scattered in various posts over the past couple of years as well. Too bad I didn't stop here first.

But I'm cured! I fell in love with my wismec. I still have many different coils to try or read about. So far my best combo is 1.2 ohm kanthal, in TCR mode with TCR=2, set on 500 deg with 80 W max, burning 50/50 juice from vaporfi.

So is there a juice maker that really does register with fda and all that?
