lol - awesome, that's exactly what I was hoping for!

Re: customs, is that why some vendors label their parcels as 'aromatherapy supplies'?

That's exactly why, yes. And I for one appreciate the effort to keep those of us in countries with less than reasonable governing health bodies well stocked with vape supplies. :)

Thanks CelticWoods and Ironlungs, nice to meet a couple of other newbies :)
I couldn't be happier with my vaping experience so far. The e-cig 'movement' is quite surreal in a way - I just wish the technology had been available sooner, my old dad has smoked his entire life, and being a doctor, has always felt ashamed of it.

Never the less, let's celebrate now that it's here and enjoy it! :D

Heck, the whole E-cig experience is kind of surreal in its own ways. There's so much that's familiar about them coming from a smoker's perspective, but at the same time so much that's so vastly different. I've gone from sucking on paper tubes with a bit of fiber filter on the end to sucking on a huge metal tube with a little LED display on it and a little plastic tank on the end with some wires and wicking floating around in a bronze liquid capped with a rubber mouthpiece that kind of looks like a tiny tannoy speaker. And I'm doing it like it's the most normal thing in the world right now. Even in public, though I'm sure I get looks, even if nobody's approached me and asked why I'm sticking a lightsaber in my mouth.

But I'll be damned if it isn't the most awesome thing in ages that managed to do what nothing else was able to.

Gidday kjonesy! Cute dog you have there and awesome names! I haven't even heard of those names for dogs here in NZ, very cool :)

Mindfield - lol at your observations. I agree with you, e-cigs seem to be the first 'nicotine replacement' (although we aren't allowed to call it that yet in NZ!) that smokers actually like. And it does seem a bit weird, puffing away on these alien electronic devices, but it's all perception. In 20 years people may find sucking on real cigarettes the oddest thing in the world. Imagine what the e-cigs will look like then!!! :D

Given general desires, I'm thinking that in 20 years we'll have automatic cig-sized PVs that won't die if a little bit of juice gets into the pressure switch and the batteries are 5,000mAh, variable voltage from 3-7.2V switchable by thought alone, can last a week on a charge, and can provide turn-by-turn directions to the nearest E-cig shop that carries your favourite juice when you're running low and will have already called ahead to make sure they've made some fresh for you by the time you get there.

But until that day comes, I'll be happy sucking on my lightsaber.

Hi all,

Am a recent e-cig convert from NZ and I am absolutely loving it.

I started on an e-llusion, quickly graduated to an ECHO device and have just pulled the trigger on a shiny black chrome Provari. Now for the long wait!

I am one of the only vapers I know so far in NZ, we really are a long way behind other countries on this. I have showed my ECHO to a lot of friends and the reaction has always been "What is that??" followed by "give us a go?!" followed by some coughing and "oh my God, that is awesome!" :D

I am guessing it won't take long before more jump on the bandwagon, only issue in NZ is that you have to import everything from overseas.

Great to be on board!

Cheers!

Hi from the other side of the world (Italy)!!
I've got a ProVari in Jan11 (one of the first Varis in Italy) and it's absolutely amazing vaping with this PV. Nothing comparable with a mini e-cig or a eGo (or clones with other names such as Riva ecc...). You could be able to find the right spot with all the atoms ad liquids you want....but surely you know. The only negative thing is that it lacks a native feeding system....and i don't like the Tank atoms. or similar!!!

Have nice vapes with your Vari!!!:D

Thanks Vince514 and mixologist, it's great to be a member of this forum :)

Liz121, sorry to hear about your battery problem. I stopped the e-llusion because I just got fed up with it really, it worked fine for me, but eventually - after one week! - it became tiresome to always be recharging the battery and fiddling around with the pcc (portable charger). I also wanted to try out other flavors and I couldn't buy blank/empty cartomizers for the e-llusion without ordering from overseas anyway. On the other hand, for a cigarette sized device it is actually pretty good.

I just wanted to upgrade to something that had a battery that lasted all day without charging, and a cartomizer that could hold more e-juice and last longer without topping up.

We cannot buy nicotine liquids in NZ either, however, we are able to import them from overseas for personal use, which is what I have been doing. I assume you can do the same in Australia but you may wish to check before ordering. Enjuice, Tastyvapor and FreedomSmoke USA are all good vendors. The e-liquid that you get in the e-llusion cartomizers just don't cut it when you consider all the other delicious flavors you can order from overseas!

Hope this helps :)

Hi Dinger71, welcome to the forum! It is great getting to know fellow like minded vapers from all over the world, Italy, Australia, USA, Guam, Russia, Canada.... the list goes on! Awesome! I have been to Italy and it is indeed a magnificent and beautiful country. I can't wait to go back.

I am really looking forward to getting the provari, but I suspect it will be a few weeks before it shows up, sadly. It must be cool to be the first in Italy to get one, in 20 years when all Italian smokers are vaping (hopefully), you can say "I was the first to get a variable voltage!" :p

Regarding the feeding device, I will start with using cartos and attys, but some of the tank mods that I have seen in photos do look pretty cool. I will cross that bridge when I come to it I guess. Let me know if you find anything nice. :)

Cheers

Yes ECF is great, it's possible to talk with vapers worldwide...and Italy is lovely (say something when you'll came back)!!!:2cool:

Not really the "first" but one of the first 3 or 4!!!:p

Yep but the best feeding system i've tryed since now is the bottom feeding (in this period i'm truly in love with box.mods bottom feeded such as REOs or OldGoats)...and you can't have this on a Vari!! The only nice thing i've found out in this months is and italian mod the "MCTank" that use a clearomizer (only the internal part) inside an aluminium+plexiglass alloy (6/7ml capacity if i don't go wrong). It works better than a giantomizer (no leaking) or a MapTank (is estetically better)!! If you whant i can maybe post some pics!!

Psy-Crow, those pictures are eerily beautiful - looks bloody cold though!! I guess you can't really have an appreciation for vast open flat terrain until you've been to Russia. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Bloody cold, yes :). Funny thing about vast open flat terrain, is that all depends on the background experience. I've seen peoples from Asia (Kazakhstan, Tadzhikstan) to be depressed because their homeland is even more flat and vast and they find Russian nature, especially Central European Russia with forests too dark and suppressive.

Hi there fellow kiwi!
I have been vaping for a year and like you I started on the elusion and got fed up of batteries running out of charge.
I am now using a Joye eGo and ikenvape cartomizers - Fusion & 808's with adapters.
Up until now I have been getting most of my juice from freedomsmokeusa.com but am looking at mixing my own juice to cut down on costs. The shipping costs seem to be quite high so I'm hoping if I mix my own I can go longer between ordering.
If you have any advice regarding DIY and suppliers I would appreciate it! Most of my juices are 12mg nicotine as I have been slowly cutting down on the nicotine factor.

Hi NZers and others. I have followed the same path as you NZers, Intellicig, EgoT and now the little black box (2xAA Battery Box with 14500 and Dual Coil Carts, as well as the Ego tanks and carts).
If you are looking for nicotine base, I have bought from NicVape (USA) using the USPS option ($12.52) and had it here in NZ in 8 days. You need to decide on a level of nic - I got 100mg as I will cut it down to use with flavouring. You also will probably need to get some PG and VG for adjusting the nic level - some in NZ get PG from a pharmacy, some get VG from the supermarket.
You should look at Nakedvapour.com (NZ based) for PG and VG, and I have also ordered from juicewhore (Australia) using airmail which cost $8 or 9 and was here within a week. These last two do not sell nicotine!
Good luck with mixing.
Regards

KK
