After lurking and reading up on all the wonderful info on this site, I think it's time I joined in the discussion. My name is Jason and I am from the north central part of Ohio. I started smoking when I was 15, and after 19 years I have now completely quit analogs because I found something I enjoy much more... vaping!

I bought my first e-cig about a month and a half ago (a GreenSmartLiving starter kit with a battery, usb charger, and 2 cartos) from a local store that sells it for $12.99 to help me cut down on the analogs. After about a week, I had totally replaced my analogs with the e-cig... I just got to the point where the analogs were tasting so bad compared to it. In fact, my last pack of smokes is still sitting there with 5 left in it - haven't touched it for a month and a half now!

Since then I have added 2 more GreenSmartLiving kits to the rotation so I always have a fresh battery, and been buying the 5 pack refill cartos for $6 at the local store. I also stumbled upon another local store that sells refill liquid and have started experimenting with refilling and reusing the cartos, saving me even more. I am currently saving about $15 a week over my old analog habit and feel so much better! Where were these things 10 years ago??

Surprised to see such a nice day after that loud storm last night!

I smoked for 27 yrs and quit as soon as my first e-cig charged...and still in shock I was able to, been about 7months now. I now use a Darwin (awesome mod) and sitting here waiting for my reo to arrive today :)

We should get an Ohio meet together!

Congratulations on 7 months analog free! I was surprised myself how fast I completely quit analogs, despite going into it only intending to supplement them. Vaping is just so much BETTER!

I have been kicking around the idea of trying a REO, GoGo or EGO-T, but to be honest I have little complaint about the GreenSmartLivings (RN4081 compatible) I have been using so far. They have far exceeded my expectations of a $12.99 e-cig with $6 5 pack cartos. The only problem I have ever had is the occasional short-lived carto here and there, but now that I have figured out refilling that's not even much of an issue. Also, the RN4081 compatibles are the most common types available in local stores around here.

Am I really missing something by not upgrading?

Well... hard question, really. 3.7v just didn't give me the oomph I wanted. Now, before I tried a 5v, I was happy enough, but once I used one it was almost impossible to go back.

The Darwin, which is very expensive, isn't exactly a vv (variable volt) because it measures watts. So, you can use any ohm atty/carto and it self adjusts to maintain the wattage you prefer. I absolutely love it, and evolv is actually down the road from me ;)

I bought the reo mainly for driving. The mini has a 3ml bottle and is 3.7v, the grand (what I just got!!!) Has a 6ml bottle and can be used as 3.7v or 6v. I tried a friends not long ago at 3.7 with a 1.5ohm (LR) 306 Cisco atty and it was awesome! I drive to ny occasionally and having the convenience of a juice fed that can last 7hrs is wonderful!

If you want, we could always meet sometime and you could try out what I have before you spend/waste money on something you're unsure of. I have, Luke I said, a Darwin, reo grand and a ggtb, several diff. Types of attys/carto and a good amount of juice.

That sounds like a good idea. Being on a tight budget right now I can't afford to waste money on something I may not like or find to be too much hassle. I do a lot of driving myself so finding something that works well while behind the wheel would be great! I travel to the Ashtabula area once a month for work, if that's not too far from you maybe we could find time to meet up? I can PM you when I figure out what days that will be if you'd like. Thanks for your help and insight!
