Hello from Ohio

Hi there guys. New to the forum but not to vaping. I currently reside in Dayton, OH.. the land of no jobs.
I'm rockin' a KR808D-1 from about a year ago when Puresmoker still sold them. Some people move on to much bigger vapes I see, but I was a light smoker so the 808 has kept me more than happy with a 901 atomizer. My old favorite cigs were Camel Turkish Royals, and Marlboro Smooths. My absolute all time favorite though was called Camel Mandarin Mint. It was a part of their exotic blends series, and I have not been able to find anything even remotely close.

I just discovered madvapes the other day, and I ordered some liquids. Does anyone have an opinion on these?

As you can see, I'm big into menthol. I'm hoping with 2 varieties of tobacco juices and 2 of menthol I can combine them into something that resembles my beloved smooths (before fire standards compliance).

Wow Kamel juice from Vapor for Life (V4L) was my favorite when I first started vaping. I smoked Camel Blue 99s, but I realize that they are different from the Royals.

My daughter moved to Ohio from here in CA a little more than a year ago. There aren't many jobs here for new college grads in CA right now. Believe me, the job market in Ohio isn't that bad. Look at the Akron job market: it's doing OK.

I made my last trip to the Akron area during the fall. The Amish/Mennonite farm country is so beautiful during fall color. You have water in Ohio! It's so different from out here in the west.

I haven't found a tobacco flavor that appeals to me yet. This has been a bone of contention between my partner and I as he is constantly looking for something that emulates his former smoking habit while I am thrilled to vape fruits and deserts. He misses the tobacco. For a while I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get him hooked on the vaping then we found something awesome.

Turns out, he really really loves Maple Pecan from MBV. After trying many tobacco flavors that he hated, he thinks this flavor is the closest approximation of actual smoking he has found yet. He comments that the throat hit, and the sweet/nutty taste remind him of smoking Winston special blends.
