Hi everybody, Im Pete. Im 32 and was a 1.5 PPD smoker since 29 and a pack a day smoker from 21 - 29.

I was walking through the providence place mall last wednesday and passed the Cigotine Kiosk. I have passed this Kiosk every day for the past 2 years but for some reason I stopped. After speaking with the associate for about 20 minutes and trying one I decided to give it a go..

All I can say is that I am so discusted that I did not try these sooner. I have not touched a tobacco cig since my e purchase. I have not had a craving or a need to either. I literally take 2 or 3 long puffs every couple hours and I am satisfied. After 5 days I am still on my first cartrige! 11mg menthol and I couldnt be happier with the flavor!

I am so happy and the cigotine starter pack (on sale for 59.99) has already paid for itself lol.

Here are some questions I have after 5 days of vaping. Please understand that I have read the FAQ's section.

How is the cigotine product compared to others?

What exactly determines the strength of the vapor inhalation? The nicotine amount? Battery? Atomizer?

What is considered to be the most realistic (IE size diameter weight) e cigarette with the hardest "hits"

Considering the criteria in the afforementioned question, What is considered the number one e cigarette?

I am sold on this technology and I am willing to purchase something more reaslistic than my cigotine. Although I am happy with it I feel that this is a worthwhile investment. Money is no object also..

Thanks everybody and be well! Pete

Hi Pete, congrats!!!... I am also from rhode island, not to familiar with that one, but a nice upgrade would be a single batt mod like a provari where you can adjust the voltage...thats good that 11mg of nic works for you, so when switching to something like a cartomizer and adding juice to it you will have the options of nic strenth..Good luck

Pete,
Welcome! Great job. You basically just told my story except I smoked over 2 packs a day... I'm @ 60 days and have not looked back. I also was like "where has this been for the past few years". I have basically become a spokesmen for vaping. I got my whole neighborhood vaping. As for the hardware question, There are infinite possibilities. I myself would recommend the new eGo-c starter kit. It has 510 threads which allow endless compatible accessories, and you can get different resistances to increase/decrease the amount and temp of vapor. You will find that everybody has their own opinions regarding this particular subject.
I would strongly recommend reading up on battery safety before getting into the "mod" area. I made a hasty purchase of a mod and after reading up on the batteries, I put myself in a dangerous situation without knowing it.
Good Luck, and Read on

Hey thanks so much guys!

Im still doing my research in the vaping world. Im sure most of you have felt overwhelmed at some point, Thats where I am right now lol. I actually just stopped by the Cigotine Kiosk again during lunch today to ask if I could trade my supplied 16 and 6mg cartridges for 11's and they are going to do it. I also youtube'd a video review on e cig's and came up with endless info..

How do you know what size e cig your dealing with? compatible batteries? cartridges? etc?

Pete

Pete737 Welcome to the ECF! Flight Simmer? I'm not familiar with the Cigotine brand but assume it's a cig sized device. I tried those at a mall kiosk and was not happy with the draw, but the tase was good. There are many others that have been there before you to include me. I want an easy draw, vapor producing, great taste, least hassle system. I am using a bottom feed device now and am very satisfied. I've tried single/dual coil carto's and they are ok. Work even better in a tank system. But a 3.7V bottom feed with a good atty and a good juice provide me with what I need today. The ProVari suggestion is something you should research also as been mentioned before. Good luck n finding what works best for you. It can be done, and you can do it!

Thanks again guys!

I am researching as we speak and have just one more question.

The gentleman at the kiosk today told me that the nicotine content was directly responsible for the intensity of the vapor. This forum and my research indicate otherwise.. What do you guys feel is the single most influential component of vapor intensity? Or put alternatively, Do you agree that the nicotine content is most responsible?

Thanks again, Pete

Pete, the nicotine level has no significant effect on vapor production. It does affect throat hit. Vapor production is a function of the voltage of the battery, the resistance of the atomizer, the wicking of the juice and the PG/VG makeup of the juice. In general, higher voltage makes more/hotter vapor. Lower atty resistance makes more/hotter vapor. Efficient wicking makes more vapor. Higher VG content makes more vapor.

Wow, That is what I was looking for. Thanks, I can now refine my research.

I would like to know where cigotine stands given the above information. Battery capacity/output, juice type, atomizer type etc..

Can anyone point me to some info on this type? I cant find anything.

Thanks! Pete

Pete, unfortunately, the cigotine website doesn't give a whole lot of info about their product. If it is working for you, good. It's bit pricey - you could find similar kits at many ECF vendors for half the price, but it's not one of the awful ripoffs we've seen some new members buy.

The problem with starting off with a proprietary brand is that you don't know what other products it is compatible with, so you can't shop around. From the picture, I know it's not a 510 compatible device. Maybe someone who recognizes the battery connection can suggest what "family" of devices this might be compatible with. Then you could have the option of trying other cartos, etc.

Juice is not device-specific at all. You can use any juice in any refillable carto.

Thanks! I actually just did a search on cigotine. I have been readin for the last half hour or so. I can see that while it is satisfactory as an introduction to vaping, I would like something better. More specifically, A higher vapor production and battery life. I would however like to stay with a small unit, Smaller than the cigotine if possible. On a different note, I kind of like the flavor of the menthol at 11mg. I may try the 16 when I get home just to see if it makes a big difference. At least this may give me a more well rounded understanding of how nicotine content effects me.

I like the automatic battery function and I take long drags, In excess of 7-8 seconds. I am guessing as long as the LED is lit the unit is functioning... In this case the cutoff time seems acceptable.

I still have not been able to completely understand what a "cartomizer" is and how it differs from a cartridge. I understand that the "juice" for these devices are used universally but I do not get the specifics of using liquid such as: amount of juice used vs. container size or resevoir size. How the atomizer plays into all this and if there is any mixing, diluting or mix ratios's that must be entertained.

I am still researching as I write this.

Thanks again! Pete
