Hello all, nice forum, with a lot of informations, and actually too much =) even tho I keep reading the sticky post, I m still a bit confused.

So I bougt an e-cig to try this week, and to be honest, I think that s great, and I might switch to that from nowon.

I just bought one in a supermarket, automatic one.

For what I read so far, better go for manual one.

So I live in Scotland, and with all the supplier in the forum supplier page, I don t know which one to choose! Forum Suppliers List

There is also so much different kind of models, I m still lost. I d like to go for a manual one, something simple, but reliable. I don t know the duration of a cigarette, but I don t think that s an issue.

I still like the cigarette shape. Do you have any suggestion for a begginner for a model?

And finnally, when I browsed the online stores, there is so much stuff you can buy, so what do you need exactly to start? which webstore to purchase from in the UK?

That s already a lot =)

thanks again for reading my post, and thanks even more if you answer it ;)

EDINBURGGGHHHHHHHH or edinbro as it would be called by a lot of guys here

It's rare to see someone else from Scotland :)

Here is a complete list of UK suppliers: ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - Recommended & new suppliers list

And discount codes because what's better than saving some £ right?

ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK - Discount codes.

To be blunt with you, you don't want a cigarette looking ecig because they don't perform as well as literally any other ecig out there.

Most reccommended ecig right now in the UK is this beast: The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid (allabout for 10% off and ask in the checkout if they will swap the atomisers for cartomisers - Jason is cool and knows we always ask new starts to get cartomisers so they're fine with swapping them like that).

It's going to run for hours and hours and have way more power than a cigarette lookalike can ever hope for. It's a bit bigger, but barely and the extra size is more than worth it.

However! Since you did ask specifically for cigarette lookalikes, here are the top two:

Creator Turbo Set - silver - Creator/Volt Sets - E-Cig Starter Kits <- this is insanely cheap. Looks like they want to get rid of their stock on those.

And these guys E-cigarette Kits by JAC Vapour Ltd ecr69 I think is still a valid discount code.

They are identical models, the kr808d-1. It's the "best" cigarette lookalike, bar none.

If you can afford it, I'd get the riva and the kr808d-1 model if looks are important. You will only get about 2 hours of use per recharge of the kr808d-1 cigarette lookalikes but the riva will be 10+ hours! So you can use the riva at home and use the cig ones if it is just how it looks that's a worry in public or something you know? If you can't afford both then I would nudge you towards the riva, from experience but there's no pressure - just guidance.

All you need after that is some juice really.

Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid lots of sites sell little 5ml samples to check out.

All you need is some blank cartomisers and slam in some juice and you're good to go for a while.

Long post but yeah, lots of info I hope you'll find useful. Let me know if you need any more help yo, it's confusing out there and we're all cool to answer any questions :)

wow, thanks a lot leftfeild, that s exactly the answer I was expecting :)

If you say that the riva 1100 is worth it, I should probably give it a try as it s not really expensive.

I smoke ( I hope I will say "I use to" ^^ ) around 10 rollies a day, around 15 at WE, how muxh should I buy of E-liq? I was thinking about 100 ml should last a wee while? or take a 30ml usa mix and 30 virginia and some samples....( not sure for flavor of course :/)

now there s also the issue with the nicotine dose, 8/18/24.... I guess 18 would be good to start?

so finnally I just need the riva 1100 kit and some E-liq right?

thanks again for all the messages =)

Hi chaky and welcome to ECF. leftfield has given you some excellent advice and I concur. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before batts need recharge. The Riva is a true 3.7 volt PV and is highly regarded within the vaping community.
JMHO but you could prolly start with 18 mg and see how that goes. Generally 30 ml juice should last about a week. You'll also need some cartomizers or clearomizers. The Smok Tech XL 1.7 single coil cartomizers work very well with the 3.7 volt PVs and hold lottsa juice- 1.8 ml.
Here's an Ecig glossary explaining most terms:
E-Cig Glossary. Definitions, abbreviations, and meanings. | eCigology
Remember to drink lots of water as vaping dehydrates.
Good Luck.

In regards to above post the cartomizers or clearomizers are the parts of the PV that hold and vaporize the juice. Clearomizers are a clear plastic tube with a wick and element inside. Cartomizers is a steel tube with stuffing and an element inside. Best when starting to use cartomizers IMHO. Afterwards, if you wish, you can easily and cheaply upgrade to a tank/ cartomizer system or a clearomizer.
Good Luck.

You're welcome chaky. Yes clearomizers are

while cartomizers are

Cartomizers, as leftfield mentioned, are easier to work with. Regardless of the carto you buy try getting an XL as they hold more juice and require less refilling.

thanks for the clearing vapoor. bookmarked the link for the glossary

Should I stock some carto? the kit I m about to buy got 2 atomiser and 10 empty cardridge.

by the way, clearomiser/cartomiser are the same right?

Yes "most" vapers only use the atomizers to test juice so we don't ruin a carto with foul tasting juice...and before you find the right juice you will buy lottsa yucky juice. Best to include sampler packs. As leftfield mentioned if you buy from the supplier he suggested:
Jason is cool and knows we always ask new starts to get cartomisers so they're fine with swapping them like that).

I found the ego with kingo set up very good, maintains the cigarette shape but size of a cigar, no fancy light up end with smoking but never understood why you would want it unless you smoke whilst looking in a mirror, Exhale, Cloud 9 and freedom vape are all suppliers I have purchased from and Uk based apart from Freedom who's just moved to Spain but still supplying UK.

As for your initial requirements you Nichols look at the starter kits as all included and when you are confident enough move onto the Mods, I have a lava tube which I find very good but only since I got the Vivi Nova V2 never really suited my Kingo.

Also don't be worried to ask the sellers questions, when started I fired a load of questions and always got good sound advice

Sorry man, I got called into work as per usual. I swear no one else covers any one else's shift but me

Glad you went for the riva, it's a much better ecig than the slim ones for about the same price and yeah, please let us know how you get on or have any more questions. It's a steep learning curve but well worth it in the end.

Well, after few days, time for a feedback!

so I bought the riva 510, really cool product. I bought my stuff at vapeescape, fast delivery, nice vendor that answer the extra question you got.

And got also an extra dip tip, which is good a I lost one of my riva in a bar yesterday -_- good there is 2 set in a box!

I will definitely guy a small one to go out, one I can put on a keyring.

trying different taste, I definitly will go for some fancy one on my next order hehe.

Well, the experience is great, I don t need any analog anymore! And to be honest I aready feel a bit better out of smoking, and even if it s only psychological, that feel good! Thanks again for all your advices people, I ll stick to my e-cig from now on, and will probably also invest in a tank system for home use.

Cheers.
