Why hello there,

I am new to vaping... My friend got a eGo C-twist the other day and it is amazing.... Now I want one.....

I have a few questions and need a little help to get started. I haven't looked around the site much yet, but I have about $100 burning a hole in my pocket for a vape system.

With just a little background on my preferences that I want to see in a vape. I think that portability is the most important aspect for me. Next would be aesthetics. Then battery life.

I have my eye set on the iTaste VV 3.0. Mainly b/c it has a variable voltage/wattage, it is relatively small/thin (compared to 'mods'), and seems to have good reviews. I like the square shape, to keep it from rolling around.

So, my question is what tank and atomizer would be ideal for the iTaste. My friend told me that some of the atomizers are $20-$30 for a pack of 5, while other atomizers were $10 for a pack of 5. I would like to get a tank compatible with the atomizer on the $10 for a pack of 5. I also don't want a huge tank (i.e. 3mL is too large). So, help me out please.... Or point me in the right direction for some options.

Anything else i need to know??

Welcome to ECF Bdbart...
I do not own an MVP from Itaste.. but i hear they are fantastic. 2600 mAh battery lasts some folks and entire week. That's about half your budget. Now.. the question is tanks... I luv my Kanger mini pro II. But compared to some tanks, it's small. I like the smaller size, as I've vaped only a little over a month, and the smaller tank allows me more changes in flavors more often than a larger tank.. Though you don't have to fill a larger tank to the top I suppose. I think the mini pro 2 would look cool on the MVP, considering its stainless steel mostly. But . . . it sounds like you want to look really cool .. so maybe you'll just have to look at some of the pictures here on the fourm and ask the specific users about their set up.
Again, welcome :)
Blessings and Joy,
Bliss.

I'll help you

here is your preferred battery choice - ITaste VV v3.0 by Innokin - good choice and very popular

here is the small tank I recommend - Kanger Mini Protank 2

and here are the heads for above - CE5+ and T2 Clearomizer Replacement head

I normally recommend 1.8 or 2.2 ohm heads but this vendor is sold out. Of course you can purchase from whoever you want I just posted these as so you can see what I am talking about

for eliquid I recommend

NicQuid has a nice 5ml assortment pack (you pick the flavors but all need to be the same pg/vg and nic level - presteeped

5 Pawns - premium eliquid presteeped

hope this helps

and welcome to the ECF

I'm rockin these:

Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

With these:

SMOKTech Pyrex DCTank Glass DCTank

and these:

Single Coil (2 Hole) 3.2 ohm Tank Cartomizer - (5-pack)

I am pretty happy. Tried other tanks and atomizers but I keep going back to the carto tanks. You will find what works for you but the above is pretty much under your 100 dollar budget. As far as juice, I am DIY now so I don't know what to recommend but you will see alot of people love the Boba's Bounty and Five Pawns. Cheers and happy vaping!

Welcome bdbart from another South Mississippian. I'm from Gulfport too. This site is a great place to find information.

I have the Itaste VV V3.0 and I absolutely love it! My wonderful boys bought it for me for Christmas. I don't think you'd go wrong with one of them. As for a tank, I agree with some of the others, a mini protank 2 would probably suit your needs.

You know we have a couple of e-cig shops on Hwy 49 in Gulfport. You could go check them out to try some juices. That way you can figure out what you might like. They tend to be a little pricey on their equipment so I would recommend buying that online.

Good luck on this new adventure! It's an awesome one!

thanks for all the quick responses.

@Wizard Bliss - The MVP is just an advertisement at the top. It looks like a great rig, but bigger than I am going to use at the moment.

@WilECoyote - The DCTank looks great, again bigger than I am looking for.

@pufZeppelin - I may regret not getting a bigger battery, but my friends 650mha seems to be OK with what I need.

@Dakota Jim - Thanks for the liquid suggestions....That was going to be my next question. Also, I will have to look into what ohms will work for my taste.

@EVERYONE - The ProTank2 looks awesome and just what I was looking for.

Thanks for making me feel welcome

@angelphyre - I think I have seem 10 e-cig shops pop-up over the past couple of years from Ocean Springs to Gulfport. They must be popular for a reason!!!!!!

Yes, they have...seems like a new one pops up every week. My favorite one is actually in Long Beach. It's run by a Seabee and his family and they have great customer service and a loyalty program too where you can get free juice after so many purchases. And if you're military, even retired, or a first responder you get a discount too. I really like that about them.

That sounds like a great place, I'll have to go and check them out. Where in Long Beach??

Like MattMann228 said, it's Dark Side Vapors. They're on Railroad Street in Long Beach.

Google their name and go to their website to get directions to them.

Bottom coil clearos have a habit of gurgling when the liquid level runs low. I'm surprised to hear it's happening to a Mini Protank though, as my husband uses those exclusively because they DON'T do that. Hmm... It would also gurgling if you somehow got liquid into the air hole, or if the coil you are using was a dud, or burned out. You can try removing the base and blowing through the opposite end of where the chimney is, to blow out excess liquid that may be there, then fill the tank up. If it continues, change the coil.

I also recommend cartotanks. The taste is superb. I've abandoned my Mini Protanks, and iClear's for them. Next to no maintenance no fiddling aside from initially priming the carto an filling the tank when it's low. Everything has tasted so much better in them that when I use something else it's just... Eh.
