Did you make it through the typhoon OK? We had a hurricane a few weeks ago and before that I bought an 11,000mah portable USB charger and charged that for almost the needed 7 hours before we lost power. So I was able to charge 1-2 batteries at a time on that (no info on whether the output was only 500mA so I used a small USB hub and only charged 2 slim batteries at once (each needs 220mA or less) or one fat battery (needs 420mA)

Where are you finding supplies in the Philippines? I travel there regularly and have been wondering about carrying supplies with me and what would happen if I ran out...

In the Perry area - there is 50 acres of peanuts behind our house. If you can out run the dogs - come and get all you want... (LOL)
