Just a quick hello to all,

I have been vaping since January of this year. £1500 later I have the SX Mini M and now have a working setup to stop smoking. I have most tanks out there but setled for the Kayfun V4 from cloud 9 in the UK. They are the best UK vendor I have found so far. First class customer service I might add.

One reason I wanted to post was I checked the charging USB connector in the new SX Mini and it charges fine. Input reads 5v at 0.47ma. If you use it as a passthrough as you charge and vape at the same time it reads 0.5ma. Once the battery reached 4.20v, the charge power shuts off. I have tested this on a wall smart charger (5 usb outputs) and a travel battery charger. Both stop sending a charge at 4.20v. My dedicated 18650 charger stops charging at 4.22v. So it seems the SX Mini charges slightly lower than full capacity. This should help protect the battery in the long run. Or maybe they will up the volt cap later with a patch? Either way this device is a game change for me. Simply in love with my mini <3

I will play around with a 2 amp USB output and see if there is any difference. But there does seem to be all the charging protection you need to use the USB port on our SX mini's for charging. Just use common sense people and all will be fine.

The only feature I want in the next version is inductive charging. That would make this product perfect. I wonder if there is a USB inductive charging kit on the market? I would jump all over that.

Take care all and happy days :)

Hi and welcome to ECF.

Depending on the cells (I understand there are some out now with a higher voltage) you don't want to charge higher than 4.2 volts. Your charger is over charging if it is going to 4.2 and can be harmful to your cells.

Very kind of you! So that tells me the SX Mini is charging perfect then. I am using the cell that comes with the SX mini from YiHi. I also have a dozen other cells to test another day.

Cheers mate!

to ecf PapaPro. Nice to meet you and so glad you are here. Pretty easy to see why it is so special around here. It's nice to have a reliable place for vaping information and advice but what makes it so special are. . . the people. Have fun and make yourself at home.

Welcome PapaPro!

Congrats! I know that there's some outlay of funds to find the right setup. Glad you've found yours :)

I know I've spent a "few" dollars getting to where I am now. I've found my happy vaping place....

Cheers to you!

Yes, I've spent a "few" dollars as well, all depending on how "few" is defined. :glare:

Yes thanks all. I had a mare getting up to speed on this stuff but can now hold my own. Well nearly :)

Just tried another build using ni200 in my V4 and it seems you can build any wicking style you like. TC seems to work whatever method I try. I think just touching the deck seems to be the one I like building. I am getting two days vaping (10ml of juice) before I need to re-wick. That is progress from 2ml using kanthal. i am so very happy right now. I have two V4s and 4 complete bottom sections so i can wick a weeks worth of vaping in an hour and I am set for the week.

Good stuff and glad I found this place :)
