Howdee all I'm Jim, once a daily pack and 1/2er, but now only smoke when consuming alcohol which now is only about 3 times a year at the most. Something about quaffing cool ale or sipping fine spirits makes me want to smoke either a pipe or cigarette.

I've been thinking about trying out a E-Cigarette on a upcoming camping trip where surely hard drink will be poured and sampled.

Be careful! The Virginia tobacco farmers might take shots at you! :p

In my part of Va. almost all of the tobacco farmers have switched to other crops. I used to drive to town and see field after field of tobacco and now all I see is corn. Tho, if you camp around here you're more likely to run into moonshiners :).

BlackJim--Which mountain is that behind you? The slope of it looks like the view of Smith Mountain I have out of my back windows :).

Jim, this is JMO but if you only smoke a pack of cigs about 3 times a year, and are able to do that, you may be better off staying with that. You may find that if you buy a PV you end up with a daily addiction. :2c:

Probaly about 3 packs a year, but what concerns me is the gunk the tobacco companies use to make these new fire safe cigarettes.

i can tell you that my dad quit 8 years ago.. he actually liked my 510 so much he got one for himself and started again.. he said he always missed smoking and this seemed like a great middle ground.

my stepmom was a 2 pack a day smoker for 35 years.. i got her one for christmas.. the last smoke she had was on january 2nd. so they do it together now..
