Hi folks, new guy here. I'm happy to report that last night I ordered my first GGTS and a Stealth from COV. I got them in honor of being 5 months off smokes (broke a 40 year habit) and also turning 53 in a couple weeks.

I'm very glad I found this site with all of it's helpful people and even more happy that I found the GG. I've been in the engineering and manufacturing side of precision machinery for the last 35 years and can honestly say without reservation that this is the best design out there, from not only the functional side but also from the aesthetic side. I've only seen one GG in person and never vaped on it but just from studing the drawings up on the sticky I can tell it's an amazing machine. The other thing that moves me on an emotional level is the love and support amongst the GG users for their machines. As an engineer, I know it's perfectly normal to fall in love with a machine. I thought I was the only one though. Now, I see I am in good company.

I guess what makes me happiest is that over the last 5 months, I've discovered the voltage, the resistance and the juice I like most. I'm glad my search for the perfect PV is finally over. Now, I just have to sell all my other stuff before my wife gets the bill for the (2) GG's and kills me in my sleep!

Best Regards from Virginia

Marcelo

Torq, you make feel very proud for me and for you buddy. Hearing those words from a person that knows about this stuff makes feel even better. If people with knowledge and skills about machines find GG the best device, hats a very big compliment and be sure that this family will be always behind you to protect your investment, your vaping habits and more than this:):)

Thanks Imeo. You make a fine machine. I'll tell you, when I quit smoking in May, my biggest fear was having my device break. At the time, I was using a Riva and that's a nice little machine but,,,
I'm in the mining business. One week I will be in a gold mine in Kazakstan, then from there, I'll fly to a copper mine in Northern Chile etc. I go to some very remote places for work. I used to be a very heavy smoker and my fear was if my device broke, I would go back to smoking. I bought over 2 dozen mods, all types, wood, metal, plastic and very few fit my "indestructible". Those that did looked like a flashlight or a club or a shoebox so I thought I would have to give up the aesthetics for durability.

Professional engineers usually only design from one side of their brain, for functionality only. True artists however use both sides and consider looks and beauty as important as functionality because after all, we're humans, not Robots. That's the difference between a BMW and a Lada.

I look forward to getting a feeding device on my machines soon. By the way, I also just bought a used GGTB in nickle so now I have 3 en route to me. The next few days are going to be very long...

Hey Torque and welcome to the GG family from Central Virginia!!! GG's are great PVs IMO, and you will be really happy with them.

I am assuming that is you in the avatar, but what has my interest is the Beetle. I had a black 66 that was lowered in the front, had Prsche rims, and a built motor with a stinger pipe. I sold it years ago and bout a mini-van :( Worst move I ever made. I loved that car! I also had a 71 standard Beetle in baby blue with Grateful Dead sticker on the rear windows. I know were that car is today as it passed through different owners.

Hey Jolly and all the Virginians And others that reached out. Yep, thats me and Helga. She's a 1973 Super. I did a body off restauration on her. Black pearl base with midnight blue topcoat and then 3 coats of clear, all hand rubbed. She had a bored and stroked 2L engine, 92mm pistons x 78mm stroke with an Engle high angle cam and twin 44mm Webbers.

I used to love to sit at a light, listening to Bach and peacefully smoking my pipe and one of these kids with a Mustang or a tricked out Accord would look at me like i had two heads. Then, Helga would usually smoke them. 178hp on such a light car is tough to beat. They would pull up to me at the next light and would ask what she had? I would tell them she was stock. I sold her a few years ago though. Air conditioning and heat are essentials when you're over 50 so i bought a beemer.

In this shot, you can see my pukka beads on the rear mirror. I used to wear those back when i was a hippie. I'm still a Hippie at heart...

Thanks, but now i may need to get a new wife! She's really not happy with me now.

Or a secret bank account :)

Now that you got some vaping jewelry, maybe things will go smoother if she got something jewelry of her own... Just try to stay away from Chaos giving you advice on this subject

Welcome! :toast:

I don't think you could put it any better. And as an engineer myself, I concur. The GGs are a beauty to behold, not just from the functional design, but also from the aesthetics.

Welcome to the fam!

All these nice folks from VA! This is great. I allow vaping at work and have been able to flip 4 people. so far so we were the only ones i knew of. My secretary's brother was on a kidney transplant wait list and was removed because they found out he smoked. He flipped to vaping and his Dr is petitioning whoever the gatekeeper is in that system because he doesnt consider it smoking. If he wins, this could change future organ transplants. Now that is cool.

We have what we call our 8:30 meeting to discuss upcoming production/eng problems and 3 guys in the meeting now vape. We actually swap juice during the meeting sometimes and i keep about 10 kinds on my desk. When I'm out of town or not in the office, people come in and help themselves. My IKV ry4 is hands down the favorite followed by Bobas.

I recently found out theres a juice store here in Charlottesville but its only via mail not a store. I haven't tried them yet but I will once i use up what i have.
Any of you guys going to Vapecon in Richmond?
I'm real glad i got a GG and found this forum
