HI! My name is Eli and i've been vaping for years. I love it and love that it's blown up. I actually have never joined a forum before, so sorry if I seem like I don't know what I'm doing, cuz I kinda don't! I'm getting ready tostart playing around with rebuildables though and am looking for advice both on where to begin with the rebuilds and navigating my way around this forum please! Any advice on either topic would be greatly appriciated! Thank you!:D

Welcome aboard
The number one thing with rebuildables is safety. If done wrong or using the wrong equipment you can cause damage to yourself and property. So, understanding the safety aspects is of utmost importance.
IMO the Kayfun is a good RTA for a beginner. It's what I use.
Your mod IMO should be a regulated vv/vw 20 or more watt device
Your batterie's CDR should be rated 50% greater than your target build
Your kanthal wire should be 32 - 28 gauge, 3/16 drill bit for wrapping coils
Your wick should be cotton, silica, or rayon
Your juice should be ~50% less nicotine than your normal vape
Thou shalt have checked the resistance of your build before firing. Most regulated mods have the ability to check your build resistance

If any of the above confuses you, then hold off rebuilding until you understand

Thank you so much for the fast replys! I have a E-LVT Dovpo for work because I'm a plumber and am always around construction dust and water. You can run the thing over with a car and it would be ok! At home I use a Eleaf Istick lately. I also have an old evic form joytech that I've had for years. But today I got the aspire sub ohm battery and atlantis setup and I love it! I have a subscription to Zamplebox too! but I'm thinking about buying a high wattage box mod like the Beyond Vape Smith Box Mod or something similar. Whats you guys opinion?

Personally, I dont vape high wattage box mods. I havent had use for more than 30w regulated. some times I float around 30w on my cloud chasing builds, but generally I build higher for lower watts, longer battery life, and a cooler vape.
28ga is great for begining - its not so thick that you need to do a million wraps to get your ohms up, then you need to crank the watts to get the coil to perform, but its not so thin that its difficult to work with. I wrap around 7/64 or 3/32 usually, wicked with Japanese Cotton until I find a good build for the atty, then jump to ReadyXWick as it lasts forever, gives a clean vape and is really low maintenance.
My current rotation of RDAs is: Cy-clone (fasttech K6), Veritas clone, Zenith Clone, and very occasionally I'll use the kayfun. My standard build is .4 (26ga) to .8 for dual coils or 1.2-1.6 for singles - it just depends on the atomizer. mostly I've been running mechanical mods, but I've been rebuilding for better than a year and highly recommend starting on a box mod as it will save you as you make your beginner mistakes.

Welcome @ELiM42 ! For beginning in rebuildables, I recommend the various versions of the Kayfun Lite V2/V2+. If you want something a little airier but just as easy to build, then the Lemo is a good option. Regardless, let us know what you get and we'll let you know how to properly leverage it to get the best vape possible!

I started by getting an ohms meter (my daughters present for father's day), some wire ($5 for 1 meter at a local vape shop), the cheapest single coil dripper I could find (Igo-L...$9), and a bag of cotton balls. I played with that to get some experience. Within 1 week I had ordered a Kayfun, 30' of wire, and recoiled all of my protanks and evods. Once you start down the rabbit hole.....

That's true about the inconvenience of RTAs, having to drain the tank and all that, but I've never cared that much for the way that drippers vape. I can tolerate itty bitty ones like my Igo-S, and might get an Igo-L since it's also small, but the vape from the Kayfun is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better! And it's really not that difficult to build for it, there's a lot of room, though it's fiddly and frustrating trying to get the legs around those tiny screws; you get used to it and it's no biggie. It's really the best vape I've had in nearly a year of vaping; any further tanks I buy will either be another Kayfun, or possibly a cartotank, I still like those too. :D

I build my Kayfun to 1.8 ohms, using 7/8 wraps of 29ga kanthal, on a 7/64, and the vape is just fantastic, and doesn't rip right thru battery life.

So I think I'm gonna buy some stuff from this FastTech company. Are they safe to give my credit card to? It just makes me wonder cuz there in like China or something.

Hey mate!

They're a fairly well regarded company. Use your credit card to pay via paypal -- and fasttech will never actually see your CC info.
