So I am looking into trying out vaping. Sick of having to hide off in a corner and smoke, and smelling like it all the time. I bought a classic starter kit from fin, and I cannot figure out how to use it... I think I have it set up properly, and it won't produce any vapor. I filled the little glass tank, i put drops on the cotton of the coil, and it is at 80 percent charge out of the box. I have already returned one and am on my second one, and am now realizing it is a me issue, not the fin. I am not using the fin liquid, I am using Haus I believe it's called. Please someone help, because I really want to change this part of my life!!

I searched the Fin website and couldn't find the "classic" starter kit. But what I did see wasn't encouraging at all. That stuff is not real vape gear and won't do much to help you get off cigs.
I'd dump that gas station convenience store stuff and get yourself to a real vape shop and ask for help.

That was my trouble... I bought it, and it appears not to exist!! I looked everywhere and could not find it.. I have figured out the problem. God am I a rookie, I clicked it 5 times fast, and wouldn't you know, it works... Now my issue is the harshness. Omg I literally coughed like no other, and I don't know how to tone it down! I get barely any vapor, but it actually hurts to inhale. It is taking the largest hit of some good weed, times 20. Any suggestions? I use HAUS, 1.8 percent. Thanks so much guys for helping me out. To the guy who actually went to the website, you are my dude! That is an awesome thing. Thanks for diligently trying to help!

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
I am glad you have gotten it figured out, and sorry it doesn't seem to suit you. I have to agree: hie thee to a vape shop for some help. We'll help too, but it will probably be better if you tried something first and then tell us what you don't like about it. BTW, drug references are not allowed here.

Fin?

Important to understand where these people are coming from. A conglomerate of dreadful brands pretending to be in the race still. 21st century capitalism alive, except not well in this case. When you have lost 99.9% of your company value it's time to throw in the towel not mindlessly keep selling junk. Interestingly, they still want investors and promise never-ending riches with their glossy brochure. How sad, pathetic and sickening too.

Hi Addamora,

Typically, those e-ciga-likes made by BT can be difficult to manage and operate. They're at a fixed wattage (I think, for the most part) you can't do much as a beginner to change the vape, etc.

Do you have a vape shop near you? This might be a time to go at least *look at stuff* a lot of stores have demo equipment and they can show you how it works, suggest options, you don't have to buy from them but you can get an idea of the types of e-cigs out there and what might suit you. You can also get varied levels of nicotine, 1.8 nic might be too harsh for your throat yet. That's what I vape, but I use a small tank and it's gotten easier as my ex-smoker's throat improved. That said, some people do great with bigger clouds with less nicotine, direct lung inhale... There isn't really a right way to vape, people find different things work for them. I also might buy a few different "levels" of nic juice (you can get small, 10 ml bottles, to try tastes and nic levels) and if you find something you like, you could either purchase it, or order it online, but at least you'll have a sense of your e-cig's capacities and how to use it and whatnot....

Leticia is correct, you can't draw too hard like a cigarette at first, or you will cough and choke, but it could also be your nicotine level. Good luck, and hope you make some headway! I hated that smoke-and-hide game, way less fun than hide and go seek. :)

Now my issue is the harshness
Welcome and glad you joined.
Might want to try a e-liquid made with VG (Vegetable Glycerin). Sounds like you have a allergy to PG (Propylene Glycol).

Easy Fix ,

Two things
On the bottom of the tank is a collar with two oblong vents in it. Turn that collar until it is completely open
Two, I go to a real vape shop for eLiquid, those little convenience bottle brands are over priced and I have found that brand also to be harsh.
