I smoke about half a pack to 3/4 of a pack a day. I've been smoking for 4 years now.
I think the supermini will work for me. I was planning on having it as an emergency thing. I'm going to try to quit analogs alltogether and only vape when I crave it. And eventually I want to do strictly zero nic!
Then this sounds perfect for you! You will find alot of info here on the forums. Like I said, I don't know about the type that you ordered, but 130 bucks DOES sound way too steep!! Maybe post an entire new thread to see what the veterens think and maybe another comparable alternative to the safe cigs?
Yes, definately post this- sorry- I just checked out their website. It looks like they DO come with the cartomizers (atomizer/cartridge combo), but they are pre-filled and looks like you have to buy their re-fills? I would find out if you can refill them yourself, because, if not, you are going to be paying wayyyy too much. The kit price alone is huge compared to the most used ones on the forums

Vaping while driving was pretty good!
Not exactly the same.. but wasn't expecting it to be anyway.
After dinner was satisfying enough, but I do feel like something is missing..
So far no analog cigies yet! We'll see when I cave. :p

Heartbskts, I realized after I ordered the safecig that the price is steeper than other alternatives.
But I didn't know about this forum then..
Plus I just wanted something easy for my first and I also just had to decide on a kit otherwise I was never going to do it!
I did post a separare thread earlier and got some suggestions on where I should be shopping instead :)
Still need to see how this is going to work out.
Next challenge: morning coffee..

Hey Ocean, so glad you got it and are enjoying it! It's a good little super-mini that a lot of people like, even if Safe Cig is a little steep. You'll be able to find much cheaper parts somewhere else. If it *is* an RN4081 (I don't know 100% if it is, just going off what other people have said), you can get batteries and atties here. RN-4081

And yeah, a little bit of noise is normal. And it dies down a bit as you vape and break it in, usually. Some of the power-vaping atties are quite noisy, actually. You should hear the rumble my LR 510 atty makes when I fire that sucker up. It's actually kinda cool. Like it's about to eat my face. ;)

You seem to be taking to it well. Awesome. :)

Caved and had one analog before bed last night.. :(
Drinking my 3rd cup of coffee and no analogs today.. yet.
I wonder if it's because I still have half a carton of camel lights laying around?
Maybe if they're not available I wouldn't think about them..
Mistress Nomad, thanks for the link! I am pretty sure that safecig = rn4081. Will have to try it out.

azsmokefree.com is pretty good for rn4081 stuff too I've bought batteries and cartomizers from them, I don't know about their atty's though I've never used one with my 4081.

Just a little tip for those of my fellow newbs who only bought kits... order some e-liquid STAT! I love my 510, but the 'marlboro high' carts that came with it tasted like wet dog. And no, thats no joke, it was exactly like wet dog. Yuck! Luckily, I had some liquids I bought from them and a separate order from another vendor, so I had options. If you feel like you're unsure about the flavor, or you feel something is missing, try another liquid! At $5 a pop or so, order yourself several different ones and try them out.

Thanks squid! I checked it out and added to my favorites bar :)

No analogs so far today! Not since last night at 8:30pm.. This is the longest I've gone since the time I tried to quit cold turkey.
These batteries last a while too. The first one just ran out and had to be charged this morning.
The pre-filled cartos are lasting me a while too. Still on the very 1st one since wednesday at 2pm.. I'm just waiting to see when I'm going to have to switch.. Looks like one carto is gonna last me longer than a pack of analogs, wooohooooo!!!

Speaking of which.. uh, how do I tell when I need a new carto?? will it stop creating vapor, I'm assuming?

OK
Briefly read the thread, but not all. My first kit was the Safe Cig, so I know about it so thought i could chime in.

The Safe Cig is not bad. The biggest issue with it is cost and it is a 4081. I like the taste of it.

One thing you will notice in a big way is if you refill your carto's with liquid you will get much more vapor/better taste.

My personal view is to order a RIVA 510 in addition to what you have. The 4081 does not provide a hard hit, in my view, but taste is good. You can get the Riva for $30 at Liberty Flights with the 20% ECF discount...

I would use the RIVA as your main PV and the 4081 as a side...

One of my 2 Safe Cig batteries died after a month. It probably has a warranty, I just never messed with it.

Also, so you know, SmokeStik is also a 4081, among many others. I bought a Hendu battery and some of their carto's just to check them out. Your Safe Cig charger will charge any 4081 battery...

The draw is a bit different with the SS... tighter or something. Better taste? Not sure... just different.

Anyhow, I wondered for a long time whether the Safe Cig was a 4081.... It is..... so that will help you right there.

Thanks buss!! It's great to finally have confirmation that it is a 4081 :)
I like the taste of the pre-fills a lot.. much sweeter than I thought it would be. Leaves a spicy aftertaste too for some reason
Maybe a little too much throat hit for me though.
Does anyone know what juice would be good for me?
For my analogs I smoke camel lights and eventhough vaping gives me my nicotine hit.. I still think about smoking analogs and have to consciously talk myself down from the ledge everytime :(
I would really like today to be completely analog-free.. but I don't think it's going to happen.

It's not always easy to walk away from a habit you've been married to for so long. A relapse is okay so don't beat yourself up over it. When I gave up the habit, I refused to smoke anything that resembled tobacco flavorings. Why? I was too scared that I would want to light a stinky. Instead I searched for some fruity and desert type flavorings. Sorry I can't help you there. No matter on what you choose, get several small bottles to try. Gourmet vapor is running an awesome sale right now. Enter code box50 at check out for 50 percent off. Sale is good until the 7th. I haven't personally tried any of their stuff but heard it's good. Also, Backwoods Brew is excellent. Enjoy your kit and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping.

Glad you like it so far and that your delivery came in. My mailman almost forgot to give me mine on the day of expected delivery. I asked him if there were any packages along with my mail and he said, "Oh! Good thing you reminded me!" After verifying my name, he handed it over as I had an eyebrow raised (and a mental pimp-slap cocked back).

People are so lucky - they actually like the taste of pre-filled... lol. I find them almost "unvapable" ...is that a word? lol.

Once you put liquid into the carto you will get more vapor. No question.

Since you are somewhat of a light smoker (less than a pack a day) the 4081 might be ok for you. I smoked twice that easily. Therefore, the 4081 is not enough for me to use as a main PV. It isn't useless - just not enough.

If you like pre-filled you are in luck as most are probably filled with Dekang (the main Chinese supplier). Personally, I don't like it. It is very cheap however. You can buy 50ml from Madvapes for $11.

Sweet! As super-mini's go, that's a well-liked model.

You'll want to fill your own carts, trust me. Vaping will cost you more than smoking if you don't. The carts go pretty quickly.

But, for today, just enjoy. Tell us how it goes! This is what the internet is for - new vapers in real time. :D
I would like to know of a refillable cart for the safe cig... The battery on it does so much better than my 501 and gives better vape and throat hits.... hmmm cost more than smoking... nah... 12.50 for 5 carts... a cart lasts me more than a day... and some peeps are vaping 5mls of juice per day at 4 bucks... guess it depends on the person... Please someone tell me of a refillable cart for the safe cig?
