Hello, I have a battery issue....

I can't seem to find a solution... I have an ego battery. I was using my ecig and suddenly the battery stopped working. The blue light flashed as though the battery was dead. I unscrewed the battery and the light is permanently on, I screw it back in the atomiser and it goes off again and flashes when you press it. I got my spare battery which was working a few hours prior to this and exactly the same thing happened. Is this a problem which can be fixed? Thanks in advance

Try gently prying the center pin up with a toothpick or small jewelers screwdriver, it could be stuck. I don't know of anything else but perhaps another poster will. Good luck.

Are you sure that your charger is actually charging the batteries? That is odd that both of them are giving you issues at the same time.

Sounds like something amiss with whatever juice delivery thingy you are using...atomizer/cartomizer/clearo or whatever. Not so much a battery problem. Although now there's been an issue...gently easing up the center pin on the battery connector can't hurt, and is probably going to be necessary. Be GENTLE! I use a sturdy sewing pin (battery off) and go all the way around lifting gently so it all comes out the same level. Meanwhile..check out that atomizer thing. Might just be a pin problem. Or a short. Hard to know without fiddling some.

Hi, I tried the centre pin thing and that didnt work. The battery was fully charged. I had been using it for about 45 minutes. The other one was on charge and the same issue happened the instance I screwed it in

Your atomiser is possibly shorted out. Don't keep putting it on the batts. If your ego has short protection, put it on the charger for a few minutes and it may reset itself.

Do you have a multimeter to check for a short on the atomiser?

If the light is permanently ON on the batt, it's probably shot.

I did notice that if you create contact between the centre pin and the thread wall the light goes out but as soon as you break contact it comes back on in both batteries

ego batteries are a fine buy, but you have to stay away from the Bad knockoffs. try Joyetech, Smoktech, Vision types. worth the xtra dough.

And it's very important Not to tighten your attys down hard, that crushes up all the electrical stuff.

i have had this issue , realized one the battery was not charging and two the tank wasnt seating properly

Thanks for the responses. Looks like I will need to buy a new set of battery's. I have had these two for about 5 months and never had a single issue. Must have just come to the end of their lives, it was just strange as it happened one after the other straight away. Can only assume they were shorted

odd that both batteries die at the same time. any chance whatever atomizer you were putting on was shorted out and shorted out the batteries? i use kanger evod batteries and if there is a short in the atty they will not fire or get damage. same with the vamo i just got.
