Depends what they send you. If it's another Protank 1, I'm afraid the news isn't good.

It was the first wide body glass clearomiser Kanger (Kangertech, China) made.

I actually pre-ordered one, in it's day it was a really exciting new product (but not so good).

It was soon replaced by Kanger Protank 2 which had less issues. I still wouldn't buy one now though.

If you search for something called Aspire Mini nautilus, you can see which way things changed. It's all in the design of the atomizer coils (replacement head) and Aspire uses something called BVC which hardly ever leaks and can only burn if you put it on something more powerful than a Twist battery.

How much would that cost to buy though, and would it be compatible? (sorry i'm new to this)

Ah, so this is the problem. The tank (Aspire mini Nautilus) is £17.99

Aspire Nautilus Mini

Is it worth it? Sure. You could buy a Protank 2 for £9.99 but it's not as good.

If you are really after something for a Twist battery, then the Aspire K1 is an awesome little tank.

it needs filling a bit often though.

Wow didn't realise this was also so complicated!

It seems a bit complicated, but there are thousands of different types of tanks.
The trick is to find one that works and stick with it.
Mini Nautilus is great. Even better on a box mod.... but don't google that now, that's like opening the largest box of goodies in the whole universe.

Just remember, you bought a cheap starter. If you need to change the tank, it's not a great loss.
Some people (like myself) got ripped off by the big nasty brands who will happily take your £50 for a £20 e-cig.
In America, a shop that likes to get 'recommended' charges $119 for a $29 e-cig.

So, whatever you do, be careful with your hard earned money. You can ask.
Most of the first pages of an internet search will send you to the rip-off stores. They sell 'fakes' of Kanger and Aspire and charge you triple. That's the world, I'm afraid.

Somebody somewhere will have paid £100 for what you bought. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum @niamhdonovan. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
And here's a video review on the Mini Nautilus that @djsvapour wrote about.

Kanger coils seem to have A LOT of issues like this with burning(especially older ones).. Could be many things from burning wick, hot spot on the coil, not using TC while using a nickel coil which can cause the coil to burn.. many, many things can cause this, but I have had many friends who have experienced this burning metal taste with Kanger tanks and coils. I am fairly new, but have already experienced this first hand. For my one friend, he was using vw mode while using a Kanger ni200 coil. Once he switched to TC mode he never had an issue again (this was with the Kanger subtank nano I think).. My other friend was not priming his coils properly and was not taking any primer pulls after letting his tank sit for a long time to rewet the wick. Once he made sure his wick has properly saturated, he also got rid of all burning issues. Then of course, you could just have defective products with coils, tanks, or mods giving, or receiving wrong power which can also mess up the coil and cause it to burn. Hard to narrow it down to a specific thing without seeing it and playing with it personally.
