Hello, I was looking into electronic cigarettes for a few weeks now and finally decided to pick one up. I originally wanted to go with one that was similar to an analog, but I've heard many people complain that it is fairly weak.

I ended up buying the Ego-W Type F1 supreme starters kit from darth vapors since I saw originally great reviews. However, I am starting to see a decent amount of people complain that the design is counter-intuitive. Did I pick the wrong first electronic cigarette?

I ordered this.....errr I guess they removed it from the website? Well it's this but with a carrying case and button protectors for a few dollars more

Welcome Marc and thanks for signing...don't know much about the W but it will getcha vaping and that is the most important thing...I'm sure there are those who know how to tweak it if needed(including Darth Vaper) and if it is an actual eGo, there are plenty of options down the road as you learn to vape...good luck and Happy vaping

There are imitations out there and the Ego is imitated quite often. Chances are you got a real Joye Ego. The Ego batteries don't have any visible markings to prove it's a real one (The Riva does). My Ego kit came in a black box that looks like a carton of cigarettes. The inside slides out one end to open and the box is marked The Ego in silver letters. Of course, they may have changed the box in 18 months.

If it works, then enjoy! And, thanks for signing the petition!

I wish I could go on other forums to message darthvapors about this. The thing I'm worried about is a lot of people are complaining about the durability of the Ego-W. I'm not on a tight budget by any means, but it would nice to know that I didn't waste $60 and be wary of future buys of the electronic cigarettes.

A few people I mentioned that I was buying it are cigarette smokers and warned me it was a waste of money, soo I'm really hoping this turns out to be good.

Look at it this way. Unless you're a very light smoker or cigs are super cheap where you live, your current PV will have paid for itself within a week or 2. If you need to upgrade or change to a different style PV by then, you're still even on money. My wife was getting after me about all the equipment and juices I was buying so I had to sit down and total my ecig purchases. Compared to the analogs I have skipped, I am even money at 2 months into this, plus I have a few months supply of juice left if I end up vaping all I have. Even if you end up spending a little more in the beginning, the health benefits are priceless.

You're going to get that from a LOT of cigarette smokers. I'd be willing to bet that they either haven't tried vaping or tried it and bought crappy kits or overpriced kiosk stuff. Either way, there are thousands of people here who will tell you enthusiastically that vaping does work!

I don't think you've wasted any money on the eGo. If the tanks don't work out for you, then you can always try cartomizers. Vaping takes some experimentation and what works for one person might not work for another one. The important thing to remember is that this DOES work, but sometimes you have to try some different hardware to find what works for you. No matter what happens, don't give up! The best PV is the one that you really like and keeps you off the cigarettes.

Good luck on your vaping journey and welcome to ECF!

After looking at the kit and using the magnify option for the photos, it appears that they are using an enclosed clearomizer type tank. Those are good and you should be happy. It looks just like the XL clearomizer.

The saving grace of the Ego (and it appears to be genuine Ego) is that with the Ego batts, you are open to all type of carts, tanks, cartomizers, and drip atomizers, plus all the accessories that fit the Ego. It's a big family. If you don't like the clearomizer tanks, you can try something else. The good part is that the clearos don't leak like the Type A and Type B tanks and they provide good taste and vapor.

Welcome to ECF! The ego-w is a good product. The ego-w's are a cartomiser type product, similar to a clearomizer (ce3) and are disposable so you will want to buy some spares. They are not as durable as an atomizer but you have no maintenance. The batteries that come in your kit can be used with all products with a 510 connection so you can use them with tons of other stuff if you decide that you don't like the ego-w cartos. So no you didn't waste your money. :)
