I’m not a fan of pods myself. They cost too much in the long run.
iprefer rebuildables myself as they’re vastly cheaper over time. The initial cost is generally higher though. It sort of depends on how long you expect to be vaping for.
Thanks. My last pod system was a baton, it worked for me for about 3-4 years until the battery died. It ran me $30 then. I guess I figure I need to update my info before getting a new one, cuz what was good then may have changed. (I see your point about cost. I'm not sure how long I'll be vaping - hard to guess.) EDIT maybe I should ask for starters, what is folks' opinion of refillable Baton?

The Baton V3 doesn't have ceramic pods for using salts from other brands.

Yeah but you use 1-2 pods a week and they’re a buck or more a piece. Rewicking a rebuildable is less than 5¢. My memory is a rebuildable becomes cheaper than a pod if you vape for more than a few months. With disposables it’s more like 3 weeks. With coil cartridges it’s a bit better. Close to a year, assuming you buy a rebuildable and just throw the cartridge tank away

My favorite rebuildable system atm is an RDA with squonk pin and a squonk mod, which while not quite as convenient as a tank, it vapes nicer. My favorite rta is a steamcrave aromamizer plus, but a lot of people hate them. ATM I’m vaping a vandyvape pulseII squonk. Different people like different things. RDAs and RTAs are made of milled stainless and last a long time. I have some that are over 10 years old and look new.

That's not true. You can use any salts eliquid in any pod system and it doesn't have to have ceramic coils. Ceramic coils are not that popular in the nicotine vape world so it's not easy to find a pod system with ceramic coils. I mean, even Baton ditched ceramic coils.

So just get a Baton V3 because you're lucky you got 3-4 years from a pod system that has an integrated battery. Maybe the baton V3 will give you another 3-4 years (but don't bet on that, I think you just got lucky on the first unit).

One thing I don't like about Baton, looking at their site, is that they don't tell you the mAh of the battery in the system. So you have no idea how to compare it to other pods in terms of whether you would need to charge a different system less or more than the Baton. My guess is that it's 800mAh or less, but that's just a guess because it's all I can do, and that's not right IMHO. But if it works for you, that's good.

I have an old nic salt pod kit. The battery degraded and I can't get enough smoke. I want a new or newer rechargeable and refillable nic salt e-cig or pod kit that won't die in a few months, a good capacity battery and that accepts nic salts from different brands.
Welcome and glad you joined.
