VapingRulz:To be fair, the fussing necessary with a 510 is the single biggest complaint that I see here on the forums. I see lots of complaints about getting bad atomizers, mouthfuls of
juice, constantly having to
mod the fills, and short battery life.
You're fanboying now - the single biggest complaint on the 510 is the battery life. All the other things you mention are not specific to the 510, esp. mouthfuls of juice - yeah, you can find a few posts on that but you're exaggerating. And frankly your comments about fuss on refilling to newbies is just bait and switch because when they ask if cartomizers can be refilled it's always 'Yes!' - without telling what the fuss is there.
They are impractical for people when driving or working for long stretches because they need to be refilled more frequently than KR8's.
Driving yeah, working not so much, unless you're crippled. Again you oversell the point.
In my opinion, that's a
lot of negatives. The only consistent positives I see are price (cheaper than the KR8 for a starter kit) and vapor volume.
Perhaps the two most major considerations people coming here are looking for other than nicotine.
Cartomizers are much easier to deal with - even when you refill,
Barbara Streisand
which brings down the vaping costs significantly. Battery life for the KR8 XL's is superior by far to the 510 models.
That's apples and oranges. A 360mah batt vs. 150mah batt. Ok, want to play that game a 510 atty on a 14500 batt blows your cartomizer kit out of the water. You can't get 8 hours of power vaping off an XL.
Taste and throat hit are terrific.
Throat hit is nicotine and heat - and the 510 atty is simply superior to anything stuffed in a one piece combo. Taste? You mean the medical taste that's in most cartomizers and that have been reported widely here and elsewhere? - except for V4L cartos of course - some of which you can get enough vapor from, let alone throat hit.
Atomizers are not an issue because you get a new one with every carto.
Barbara Streisand. I've lost one atty in 6 months and you throw them away after they're out of juice - that is IF you don't want any 'fuss' Lol. That atty is essential and whatever they're putting in cartos don't stand up to the 510. Sorry about that.
You can vape for quite a few hours without changing out a battery or refilling a cart. What's not to like?
No vapor in some instances, a terrible underflavor that goes on for hours ;-) and the 'fuss' needed if you actually want to try some good juice from our vendors.
What am I missing? Why are there so many fans of the Joye 510 out there when it appears to be a huge hassle?
I think you finally stumbled into something...
I am genuinely curious as I want to add another e-cig model to my arsenal and I'm torn between a 510 and a mod. Right now, the mod is looking like the best idea.
If you get a mod, do yourself a favor, get a 510 atty to go with it.
