Hello everyone, Just introducing myself

I found the forum after a week of vaping. I am nearly off smelly cigs after 35 years as a heavy smoker. I tried everything and wasn't expecting to swap over but Day 8 and it looks like I have by accident.. and because vaping is easier than rolling. I was shocked to see on the forum that the answer to my prayers might get made illegal but hopefully it will take a few years to implement something and maybe UK will be out of Europe by then lol.
I like the forum and there is a ton of information gathered here that is useful to me.
Thanks for having me :)

Hello ECF,

Just had to start dropping post's in the appropriate Forums.

I'm a New Member from the land down under. Australia. (Allo)
I've been Vaping for just under 2 months now! My back ground is electronics/Telecommunications so Vaping was a very dangerous hobby to stubble across as I love all electronics and must buy said loved electronics!(But I don't smoke so Vaping wins hands down.)

Currently Vaping with 2 x V.2 Vamo and 2 x eVics 1.1 software.
Current best Vape is Juice ..... Honeycomb mixed with Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured and French Vanilla.
Favorite Atty's at the moment are AGA-W's and Vision Eternity Rebuildable.
Also using XL pre/p Boge Carto's SR/LR with tanks.
The reason for using both SR and LR is, the evic has got some interesting programming in the current 1.1 release, and it will not drive high resistance carto's over a pre-determined wattage, in other words "its backwards I say!"
Oh and the old Cherry Vapes drip tips are awesome.
I need to continue to post as i would like to post a picture of the wooden PV stands I have made. I would like to show Tenderfoot how he has inspired me to take back my original love of working with wood.
So you will most probably see me floating around here somewhere reading something!
Vape On!

Not really a ban as such! Just really a control of Nicotine!
You cannot purchase nicotine from a Australian vendor! No if's buts maybe's. But Australians can purchase nicotine online from oversea vendors for personal use. (With no worry of legalities.)
Hardware can be purchased quit easily online and we have quite a few great vendors that have next day delivery.
The whole problem in Australia is the ignorance of the population. If you pull out a small e-cig device general speaking people are quite intrigued and interested.
Pull out a Vamo or a eVic out and a Carto tank and you will get some strange looks for sure!

Believe me we have that same problem here in the states, we are still looked at as smokers and the evil, 2 headed monsters. There are some places that do let e-cigs in but its getting less and less. The big citys are worse about it than the smaller farm areas, and it didnt help with the FDA using a out dated bad testing to make it look like its SO dangerious, but what could be more dangerious than 4000 chem going into the body, and they arent willing to get rid of the tobacco and analogs.
I find the stranger your gear is the more questions are ask and that is a good thing to inform others what it is and educate them.
Grats to you and good luck.

Welcome Morticia!! You will learn a lot from this forum.

Yes I think I will :) I'm also a gamer (browser games like Travian and Rise of Europe and Illyriad). I chose to use a game name to associate this forum>vaping>not smoking with my favourite game name (Morticia Locke) to try and break my game dependency/smoking dependancy association. It seems to be working. I saw my allies in these games saying "brb ciggie" and felt bad because I was smoking in my flat whilst playing and making the place stink. In addition to saving on cigarettes I will also save on the air purifier I use, the anti smoking electric plug in smelly things I plug in when visitors come and febreeze (a spray in the UK that covers horrible smells) and scented candles....this can be nothing but good :)
Thanks all for your welcome :)
