Hi there, I'm just posting a general hello from Alberta. I thought I'd have a multitude of questions to ask you, but by searching the FAQ's and such on the forum here, I can safely say they've been answered. I've been researching the e-cigs for months; my husband and I have both started on them (510 models...THANKS HAPPY VAPER!) and can honestly say that I was VERY ready to leave the smelly, disgusting analog habit. The only problem I've come across is that the more I read, the more I see that this habit of vaping is increasingly turning us into criminals! I will write letters and such to the concerned people and agencies, but I get the feeling it'll fall on deaf ears (eyes?) unless we can get the media to TALK about this stuff. Honestly, I think that's the only thing that seems to have any effect on our federal gov't whatsoever. I wonder if there are any handsome vapers out there who are willing to jump into the fray?? Yes, I'm not saying anything you don't know. Just a simple HELLO, and thanks for this great resource (even though it keeps my head spinning...too much information!)

Welcome to ECF!

Yep..the battle to vape is just beginning. Think of it this way...we're making history!

Boy, you aren't kidding! I haven't found out yet whether Canada has an equivalent to the National Vapers Club...or if that club's mandate includes Canada (probably not since they have their hands full). Thank goodness for them, because Canada has this habit of automatically copying USA health policies. Vaping is the obvious solution to an age-old problem. It makes me REALLLLLLLY upset that it isn't getting the attention or approval it deserves.

Hey fellow Canadian Vaper!!

Welcome!

Feel free to join us in the Canadian subforum if you haven't already!

Stick around and have fun!

:)

Thanks! I hope to do so, once I'm off of newbie probation here. I know little about the ins and outs of e-cigs in Canada, but I know enough that it ticks me off and I hope that I can inform as many people as possible about the existence of vaping... I have this sneaking suspicion that my most recent importation of juice has been nailed by CUSTOMS...that finicky bunch. They have things arranged so that it's cheaper to give things up than to appeal at the cost of $250 or whatever stupid thing they tell you....GRRRRRRR

I'm also a 510 user! Welcome to ECF :)

To me, it's more than just about vaping. I found my alternative to smoke. Nicotine is nicotine, just like alcohol. Different tastes, different methods, different strengths. :) I should have the right to smoke an e-cig if we have the right to drink... and we all know how Prohibition went.

I couldn't agree more. I was trying to explain my frustrations to my teenaged daughter (who would love to see me quit smoking): in the eyes of the FDA (yeah I know that's the USA), the 510 is a drug administering device. Since nicotine is LEGAL, and caffeine is LEGAL, that means that my coffee maker should be a drug administering device too, shouldn't it??? Galdang, I try to keep my life simple, but once in a while there is something that puts a reasonable person in a position to want to say SOMETHING!!! to the forces that matter. I hope to be of some help. For what it's worth I contacted Charles Adler and asked him if he's done a show on e-cigs. He said he hasn't. I THINK IT'S WELL PAST FRIGGIN' TIME. I don't know enough yet to give his producers a well rounded presentation (yet) but I would like to know a Canadian who can. I just wish the media could dig their chops into it up here, but I think it's gonna probably take an organized group of Canadians to do it. Does it exist?
