Hello all,
Glad to find this great community. I'm a former smoker for about 10 years on and off, and just getting started really. I've got a couple of clearomizers, batteries, and a few 30ml bottles of flavored juices. I still have a cig or two a day, but have drastically reduced my use of analogs to just a couple a day - mostly when I cant vap with clearomizers at home. Doing well though with making the change though..

My first vap was with a cheap ecig cartomizer device, and although somewhat enjoyable it was not enough of a hit; so I moved on to getting a eGo clearomizer and battery setup which I like much better.

Questions
1. batteries seem to go quickly and need daily charging. I have 4 18650 batteries that I use for flashlight and such. Can anyone recommend a very inexpensive supplier for a ego or similar type battery tube that uses 18650 batteries? Around $20 or less would be great.

2. I prefer the tank type atomizer (clearomizer) devices and want to get one that gives the best hitting power, and is less prone to leakage of the oil when not upright. Any suggestions?

3. I would like to make a more portable setup to totally eliminate analog cigs from my life. I would like a very portable setup, something about the size of a altoids tin, so lack of leakage is important here too. What's a good portable setup?

Nice to meet you all, and thanks in advance!

Since you have batteries and charger already, a Vamo is pretty darn close to the price range you are looking at. Good prices on them at about $30. I used to have one, and will serve you well for a 1st device.

Welcome to forum.

1. Look @ Fasttech.com for the Vamo V3. That can run in 650 and 350 modes with the multiple tubes. Yes, you would need an additional battery (18350) for the smaller set-up but you would basically have a VV/VW set-up with size variations. They sell a full kit w/ the I2 charger and good batteries dr $53 or just the mod for $34.

2. Look into a Protank or EVOD. Also available from Fasttech. Many happy users around here. Bottom coil so not too many dry hits and I have never had either leak.

3. See #1. In 350 mode it is pretty small.

I had not visited or ordered from fasttech.com previously; but they have a good selection of vaping gear, which is nice. Thanks again for your suggestions Guys!

I ended up ordering the items suggested plus a few extra items - including a couple of rebuildable single coil and rebuildable dual coil DD, and a couple of 5 packs of coils. I'm very excited to get my new vaping gear!

How long does it usually take for their items to arrive to the US from this vendor?

TIA!

Never ordered from FT yet, was gonna get my own Vamo there but saw someone on here selling so snagged that instead, rough time-frame for orders to the US seems to be 10-20 days though, really depends on if they have stock and if there's any holidays (Chinese or US) involved. Pretty sure you'll be happy with it regardless of how long it takes though, I've heard many many good things about the Vamo. Definitely a step up from eGo or cigalike setups.

Also congrats on cutting back your analog intake, steps in the right direction for sure! Nothing says you've got to quit them entirely as soon as you start vaping either, though you'll probably find after a while they just taste horrible compared to good eliquids. I still enjoy a Djarum Black once in a blue moon, especially if I'm at a concert, but smoking one or two every so often versus smoking daily is a far cry better for your health regardless.

Eeep.. I hope for no rhinestones on mine. If so, hopefully they are easily removed.

Lol. I've been on there quite a bit and have yet to see a V3 (or V2 for that matter) with rhinestones. I think you're good man, no worries. I would be willing to buy it from you if it does have them just to put it on a shelf for the lulz.

Just two cigs today. Haven't gotten away from that first one in the morning yet or the one after dinner, but going to try to make tomorrow my first day without. Thanks for the encouragement to move on. I'm really enjoying the vaping much much more everyday, and dislike the taste of regular cigs, so that helps.

Welcome Baranox! I'm in the STL area and it takes between 8-13 days depending on stock status of the products you order. Items with a ships in 4 days stock status will make it around 13 days ship time. If it says in stock or ships next day I receive them in 8/9 days. I have the Vamo V2 from there and it has taken a beating and hits like a champion. With the price increase of the Stainless Vamo V3 The Innokin SVD is stainless and a quality piece for a few bucks more. I enjoy them both and you can't go wrong with either. Nip put together a nice guide that is growing http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/430819-fasttech-thread-all-fasttech-posts-256.html#post10094532

Those habitual ones are hard to break free of, there's a few other threads on here I've seen with suggestions, but I'll try to sum them up for grins and giggles..

Morning: Up your nic level, try a coffee/breakfast flavored vape if you drink coffee, or change up your routine, i.e. if you smoke with your morning beverage, try drinking it at a different time, or even in a different room, or just hit the PV before even getting out of bed like I do now. I've actually completely cut my caffeine intake doing that, believe it or not.

After dinner: Same deal, try and break routine if possible, if you eat at a table, try a dinner in front of the TV or computer, or vice-versa. If you eat the same thing routinely, change that up a bit. Or see if you can find a dessert-flavored vape, two birds with one stone if you get lucky and can 'trick' yourself thinking you're eating dessert while getting your nic fix.

1. If you're willing to wait about 2 weeks (maybe less), then like others suggested, Fasttech cannot be beat for ecig supplies.

2. I cannot say enough good things about iClear 16, iClear 30 tanks. I will say that every now & then I will have an iClear 30 drip some juice out of the tip if I have it in my pocket but I keep them in a little plastic ziplock jewelry size bag to prevent getting any on my clothes in case this happens. This is also completely preventable if you use the rubber tip cover that comes with them but I always lose it. They really don't leak that often but it's worth mentioning. I bought some various sizes of Vivi Novas through Fasttech recently but I haven't used them long enough to vouch for leakage. I've also tried many, many C4, C5, C6, Protank, & T3 tanks. I wouldn't use a C4 if it was the last tank left on earth but I really like the C5 & C6 but I do have a bit of leakage from them. Not enough to be an issue or make me stop using them but more than I ever get from iClear 16 or 30. I had quite a bit of leakage from the Protank & the T3 didn't leak but it has an airy hit & I prefer a tighter, warmer one.

3. I have been using the iTaste MVP for a few weeks & it's actually about the size of an Altoid tin, except not as wide. You mentioned using batteries though & the MVP is charged through a USB cable but the battery life is off the charts. I am a chain vaper & I only charge mine about every 3-4 days.

Great info; I'll take a look at these for sure. Thank you.

Man, I'm really surprised with the good responses, information, and people on this forum. Thank you all! A couple more questions, if I may. I hope that I'm not wearing out my welcome here.

I'm using a couple of brands of fluids. I found these vendors as they were kind enough to send me a free sample or two when I first started exploring the idea of vaping. One is Apollo and the other is Panda. My main goals with juice, in order of priority are - low price per volume, flavor selection and quality, and fast delivery.

I know many may prioritize flavor as more important than cost, but I'm not willing to pay much more than $1 per ml even if it is an uber flavor. Cost is a very important consideration for me, not really out of necessity, but mostly I try to be somewhat frugal to make what funds I have go further. I may consider an uber, must-try flavor in small quantity as an occasional treat, but not for day-to-day usage if the flavor/vendor is $2/ml or more; but, they are worth mentioning in context with this in mind.

I tend to order 30ml bottles as they seem to be a better value. I think I currently use around 2-3ml per day currently and have about 90 ml on hand now. So, not in a hurry for a new order at the moment. Also, I'm not opposed to doing a $10 or so multi-bottle sampler order from a new vendor if consensus thinks it's worthwhile to try them. Free samples are always good too. Oh, and I prefer a mild/sweet tobacco flavor like RY4 or classic tobacco. Also use some sweets like strawberry, cherry, or carmel. Of the flavors that I've gotten my wife to try so far, she likes the sweets. I'll get her into vaping soon, once I kick the cigs for good. Today is my first day without them; so far, so good.

4. What are the opinions on the brands (Apollo & Panda) that I'm currently using?

5. Keeping my goals in mind (priority order - price, quality/flavor, shipping delivery speed) Any brand/vendor suggestions?

Sorry for the long-winded post; just trying to provide a good background for suggestions.

Much appreciated!!

People here seem more than willing to help out fellow vapers. I know I have a low post count but I've been vaping & lurking for almost 5 months now. Now that I feel a teeny bit more knowledgeable & can have an opinion on what I like & don't like, then I'm hoping to become more active in the forums. Welcome aboard & I hope you find a vaping as enjoyable as I do. There's definitely a learning curve but you sound like you're putting a lot of thought into it so you're on the right path.

I definitely wish I had known about FastTech sooner because it would have saved me a lot of $$$. We have made 3 orders with them in the past 2 weeks & ended up with more supplies than we bought at local stores & other online sites combined (minus juice), & spent a tenth of the price overall.
