I am a 21 yr old college student and have been vaping for close to 3 years. I currently have a vamo with multiple clearomizers and i'm looking to step it up to a high end mod with a nice rba. My father also wants one too, since he's only been using an eGo twist with protanks. We figure since it will be Cyber Monday soon we could try to snag a deal and dive right in. I'm a total noob when it comes to rba's. I have watched multiple youtube vids though and have the gist of things. I just don't know what is needed (tools, supplies, wire, etc.) and this would be our first RBA.

So my questions are, is there a somewhat noob friendly RBA out there that performs well and is great for beginners? Could anyone tell me what i would need if i were to purchase one? And any insight to a great higher end mod to throw it on would be great :) The vamo has done it's job but it's past it's prime:vapor:

I have around 150$ budget for a mod and another 150$ i could spend for the RBA. Thanks

Resistance wire ( 30 or 32 is a good starting point), wicking material, and something to check the resistance before firing it on a mod. I like silica wick and it is very beginner friendly because you can fire it without any juice on it. Others seem to really like cotton. I only use it for my micro coil builds. For the microcoil, you will want a 1/16" drill bit. I like to use nail clippers to trim my wire, but scissors work too.

The Reo and the Reomizer are certainly not new. A Reo is a box mod, but it has a juice holder inside of it, so it only requires an atomizer on top. It definitely is not bulky as other box mods after you put something on top. The Reo makes it like dripping all of the time. You can drop $300 on a mod/RBA combo that is pretty good and looks how you want. You can drop $150 on a mod/RBA combo that might not look great, but puts out twice the vapor of the $300 combo.

The Kayfun Lite is definitely a good RBA. It was one of my favorites before I bought a Reo. It does not even hold a candle to the awesomeness that comes out of my Reo though.

Good luck on your quest. Rebuilding is not very difficult once you get the hang of it. However, it is imperative you have a way to check your resistance before firing an RBA on a mod. This can be a multimeter, 510 ohm meter, or a mod that will read out the resistance of your build. Safety is a big deal when building coils.
