Hello all.

Little bit about me, 51 years old and smoking since I was 10. As of Saturday me and the gf have stopped smoking. As she only smoked about 4 cigs a day she is good but I stopped at a vape shop and bought me a ego twist battery X2 and an Aspire aromatizer there for $9. I am using Dvine e-juice 18MG nic.

The other day I went out and bought an Aspire K1 which I like much better and I tried a new juice called Brickquid (Vape Mode).

It seems I am not drinking enough water as my voice sounds hoarse as of 2 days ago. I got a ton to learn and from lurking this seems like the place to be :)

So hello from freezing cold Montreal Canada

Welcome to ECF! Congrats to your new future without cigarettes!

I am relatively new to Vaping, but I have found ECF to be a fantastic resource for Vaping and getting off of cigarettes. You will find the people here are the best!

The first thing that I think about when a new vaper mentions throat irritation is priming coils. Did you make sure to prime your coil before you first fired it up?

Welcome and glad you joined --go Canadiens and Sharks.
You have quite a bit of reading to do--the more you read the more you will enjoy vaping. Quitting stinkies will become easier.
Here's a couple to get you started:
(4) Good Starter Setups for a Beginning Vapor | E-Cigarette Forum
(10) Advancing Up the Vaping Ladder with Egos and Mods | E-Cigarette Forum

Thank you for those links, slowly I am learning but doing it my way and not letting myself be pushed by the guy in the store who seems to think I want to be a cloud chaser lol. I just want to quit smoking and one day get my nic MG down to 0 and just enjoy the vape :)

Right now I am vaping tobacco flavored juice and I like it, I did try a butterscotch juice and all I can say is nom nom nom lol I have the K1 filled right now for my gf to try when I see her on Saturday hee hee

Fyi I started on a kanger evod 2 starter kit make sure to buy extra batteries because you will put some wear on them and when your really having a craving having a battery keep a charge is important! Good Luck

I got 2 batts now so one is always charged. Nothing like waiting for 2 hours in the morning for your batt to be charged while you are craving a nic hit lol

Hello and welcome. It's now two months since I've given up analogues and vape exclusively. The interaction here and the questions I've asked and all the wonderful responses have been a part of the reason I've been able to continue with vaping without resort to cigarettes. This forum is very therapeutic.
I too have a K1 Aspire kit, two in fact. Its what I carry around when I leave home. For being so slim and handy, it has great vapour and flavour production for mouth to lung and its hard to beat for its size. Very natty looks too. Stick with it and good luck.

I am finding so much info on this forum I am getting information overload lol. I have to admit, you guys are a friendly bunch and I thank you for that. I know I will have a ton of questions sooner or later once I grow tired of this starter kit I have, while it is working for me now I can see myself wanting to upgrade sooner or later. So many choices lol

Congrats on quitting. And 4-6 batteries is barely enough backup :)
Just in case you need an excuse to buy some more...
