Hello newbie have some questions!

I've bought a couple of the gas station e-cigs and finally decided on giving an eGo twist & protank3 a shot.. the eGo twist lasted about 3 hours and just blinked 3 times and wouldn't vape anymore and I purchased it an hour away from the house so I looked online and found a vape kiosk at my local mall.. So I purchased the lavatube setup.. I couldn't get the protank3 to draw on the LT so I searched google and read that I needed an adapter or an aerotank base.. So I purchased a few of those online.. The only thing I'm stumped on is why this ego twist wouldn't work after a few hours I changed the coil and nothing, so I put it on the charger and the light just stayed lit overnight.. I'm going to return it they told me a 30 day warranty... I've been an "analog" smoker for 16 years. I haven't smoked in 3 days.. I'm very jazzed, and my wife is even more excited because she always riding me about smoking ;D

I'm happy to have found a forum I can pop on too and get info ect.. The lavatube is great running the 24mg/16mg nicotine at around 4.5 volts...

So I'm hoping the seasoned vapors can let me know I'm on the right track with my research so far

Sounds like the eGo just had a dead battery. If you charged it overnight and it still wasn't working, that's a problem, though. I'm assuming you know about the "click five times to turn the unit on" bit?

I'm not familiar with the lavatube setup, but it sounds like an air draw issue. A lot of tanks (including the Protank 3, I believe) draw air through the bottom. This air flow can be cut off by a battery mod that does not let air in, though. Honestly, I'm much happier with my Aerotanks (yep, plural...I have three) anyway. I love the adjustable air flow feature. Over time, I think just about everything will offer adjustable air flow, for many reasons (that I won't get into...just go watch the pbusardo video about adjustable air flow on youtube).

Thank you for the quick reply.. Yeah the guy I purchased from gave me the run down on the 5 click.. It just seemed to get worse and worse while I used it on my drive home... Maybe I got a defective unit because now the charger isn't even lighting up now or reading out on a volt meter.. Cannot wait til the aerotank base get here for the protank I really did like the draw on the protank vs the stock tubetank on the LT

It's hard to say what the right track is I think, everyone has the set ups they like. My best friend tends to like 1.9 ohms I like 1.3 myself, some people love mechanical mods and some people love vv/vw. It sounds like you have a solid starting point to go from, good luck and welcome onboard!

Took me a week to get the smell out of my vehicle. ..its nice not smelling like a stinky ashtray isn't it? Good luck on your venture. Ive been smoke free for a few months now

Love it! The shop replaced my ego twist and charger was defective and I grabbed an aerotank for the lavatube I'm in heaven I like that bit of air draw.. I have zero desire to buy cigarettes ever again.. It's real nice to when my wife who has never smoked doesn't do the duck and dodge when I go in for the kiss when I get home from work

Glad you quit! I switched 3 weeks ago, and I haven't touched an analogue since! Some people are able to switch directly like you and I and some have to wean off the stinkies. Neither is the right or wrong answer, but like you, I am so glad I was able to switch right away, and not dink and dunk with the stinkies. Keep up the good work, and glad the shop replaced the defective battery for you.

Like you, I can vape with smokers and don't get the craving. If anything, when too many people light up stinkies in a small area, it's starting to bother me.
