Hey everyone, just found this site yesterday after hearing about e-cigarettes. After doing a lot of searching (around the net and in myself) Ive decided e-smoking could be the answer to my habit. Now, I am by no means a heavy smoker, who seem to make up the majority of this site's member-base (by heavy i mean 20~ cigarettes a day.) But I do kill anywhere between 3-7 of the little .......s daily. I would love to just stop, but College life can be stressful, and most of my friends being heavy smokers doesn't help in the least. So I have resigned to the fact that until some of the pressure of my workload comes off, Nicotine's gonna have a grip on me.
I am fully prepared for responses telling me I should just try and stop cold turkey, that I haven't fallen completely to the "dark side", but I have tried, really I have. And after three days the knots in my stomach and the sheer stress drive me out to buy another pack, I despise it. So, after hearing about e-cigs, containing 0 tobacco (and thus 0 carcinogens) of course my first thought was "Cancer free smoking? Sign me up!". But worry not, i've researched thoroughly, mostly on this site, and I'm prepared for them not to be everything they are cracked up to be, but if they will get me by, and healthily to boot, i'm all for it. However, with one of these babies Plus, living in a smoke free dorm would be a hassle of the past!
So, to tie this long winded post up, i've decided to order a DSE901 Black Mini with Blue LED from the Electronic Cigarette Company to start, along with an extra atomizer and some extra cartidges (maybe liquid in the near future) but I have a few concerns:
1. Im based in the US, from what i can tell from their site they do take american credit cards, but are there any issues with the exchange rates when purchasing? Can credit gift-cards be used?
2. (this one is a little silly) Will the charge adapter which is obviously designed to work with European outlets function safely with american ones?
3. Even though im buying an extra atomizer, how often do these things die? I'm a little nervous because ordering more in the near future could be a hassle (EU to US and all)
Whew! Long post but I think I got everything I wanted across. Thanks a lot!
