Hi! I am a newbie and I am not a smoker, my husband does. He is a smoker since his teen years and I wanted him to quite smoking since it has been showing signs on his health that smoking is taking its toll. ( body odor, coughing, and the worst is the bad smell when he sneezes). I have been wanting him to quite before we got married but to no success. I am in the desperate mode...well of course I know cold turkey wont help. I was about to purchase a nicotine patch, and patch it on him while he is sleeping (so he may not notice that he is already wearing a patch) but a friend told me that I am doing a dangerous move, instead of helping him out of smoking. Right now, I am here in this forum to seek more information about e-cigar and hopefully be able to share our experiences and something I learn in the future.

Have a great day everyone!!! :):):)

It sounds like you are describing the MVP v2. It is a small box mod that you CAN charge some smartphones with. What type of e-cigar do you have?

actually I dont have any idea what e-cigar is best for newbie. I would like to purchase I for him, something wont hurt my budget if ever he would not use it. *cross-finger* that he will use it.

You sound like a fantastic wife BTW, the way I quit and helped other longterm smokers quit is to go into a good vape shop and try a lot of juices, spend an hour trying all the juices hell find one he likes promise, then once you find a juice the he likes make sure to get a device that is easy to use and won't fail on him that will force him back to cigs. Start with a high nic level like 24nic for example and remind him that a cig doesn't work the first second you hit it it's not liking the ecig tell him to use it for 5min that's how long he would take to smoke a cigarette. By that time he should have received enough nicotine to calm his cravings. Then ask him how he's doing. And remember no man hates extra attention spent in the bedroom ;-)

Thank you so much for the insightful advice. Will take note of this and I hope I could drag him to a vap shop where he could try all the juices. Hopefully, we can find the similar flavor and intense of a Marlboro Lights.

Consider looking at some of these:

1. JoyeTech Ego-C Twist
2. Vision Spinner
3. Innokin iTaste vv v3
4. Innokin iTaste MVP v2

The first 3 are fall into the "ego style" category of battery (with variable voltage). They range in size from 600mah to 1300mah. The higher the mah the longer the battery will last between charging. The 4th one is a step up from an "ego style" battery in that it is a smaller box mod with a very big battery (2600mah). It will last many vapers a whole day before it needs recharging. It is probably one of the most popular batteries for someone upgrading from an "ego style" battery. Some vapers choose to buy one "ego style" battery as a backup and also purchase the MVP for their main battery.

You will need to purchase a tank (the juice attachment) with the first three on the above list. The mini Nautillus, mini Aerotank or regular size Aerotank (all made of glass & all have adjustable airflow control) are very popular. The MVP Kit comes with a tank but it is not glass.

Yeah, I wouldn't put a patch on him while he sleeps, He could wake up, have a cig, and not feel very well at all bc of the surprise overkill! Remember also that smokers are addicts and they'll quit when THEY want to. Men are a special breed (;-)) and it helps if they think it's THEIR idea to quit. Trying to force him to quit on your timetable may not be in line with HIS timetable! If there's a way you could make him feel it's his idea, like even finding out where all the vape stores are and find one that is close to someplace he likes to go, like in the same parking lot there might be a hardware store or a bakery he might like - and then you say, "oh look! - there's a vape store, wanna go in? They let you try stuff and I hear it smells really good...!" Remember to mention that "bedroom stuff" mentioned earlier!!
This is NOT meant to be sexist, I just know from experience that a lot of men tend to want to have things be their idea. Be crafty! Good luck and welcome, I'm new here too, this is a friendly and helpful place!
