My brother in law was very crusty with me when I tried to talk to him about vaping a year ago. He only tried one puff and said it tasted like burnt plastic. I just let it go.

Over the past year Ive seen him a dozen times and his cough has gotten much worse. Last night I got a phone call with an apology from him. I'll quote what he said. Last year when I tried your vaporizer I really didn't give it a chance. I only took one puff and said I didn't like it. I'm sorry I was kind of a .... about it. I'm really having a hard time breathing now and I can remember how you use to be worse than me. You don't cough anymore. Would you mind helping me out with some gear?

I met up with him today and set him up. He couldn't believe how good it was. I really feel like he's going to get off the butts for good.

Give your friend some more time with his cough and he may come around. Good luck!

Why !!! It's Legal in a few states now, And people do carry Med Cards from their Doctors.

I see nothing wrong with it. Since it is "Legal"

Just wondering what will happen to this site if They ban ecigs! I doubt that thats going to happen.

will we be left to talk about batteries only? :)

The thread title still needs to be changed, regardless of his intentions.

Tobacco is legal in all states. I haven't heard of any medical use for it at all? And if there were, I certainly wouldn't want to go back to it! I enjoying vaping my nicotine very much.

The only reason it would get locked is people misinterpreting the OP's thought by thinking he was referring to anything BUT tobacco. If you notice, the OP is from the UK. One of my UK friends calls cigarettes fags, and tobacco weed. Other people are derailing this into something else due to their not understanding the OP's slang. Since we all know the rules against other things, it would seem to me it was self-explanatory and no one would post anything else. But then again, there is always going to be someone...

It has nothing to do with misinterpreting or legality and everything to do with forum rules and why.

ECF is the global central resource for electronic cigarette information. As such, one of its main duties is to remain respectable and to present the best possible face of e-cigarette use to the outside world. Our task is therefore to assure visitors that e-cigarette use is respectable, normal and entirely legal in every way.

One of the main problems we face is a continual propaganda assault paid for by commercial rivals who will suffer as e-cigarettes become more widely used. This is a serious issue for them because the smoking-related death rate will fall dramatically, in an exact parallel with the number of smokers who convert to an e-cigarette, in any country where e-cigarettes are freely available. The obvious superiority of e-cigarettes over tobacco products, and as a better solution than trying to quit (especially with the ineffective or dangerous pharmaceutical interventions), means that e-cigs are a serious threat to the income of some major vested interests. The only way they can counter this is to use a combination of lies, propaganda and suborned officials to try and stop e-cigarettes.

One way they might succeed is to portray e-cigarettes as intrinsically undesirable, or illegal, or even as a way to use illegal drugs. To stop this taking place we need to ensure that web searches for terms associated with this type of material do not return ECF in the results, and that searches on ECF produce nothing. We should keep ECF 'clean' in order to stop them succeeding. This is why words related to these topics are automatically censored by our software.

We hope you now understand why certain subjects are not allowed on ECF.

Which is exactly what I was saying? No one here is talking about any illegal drugs except a few who are misinterpreting the OP.
