Hello everyone. My first post since joining. Been lurking for a couple of months now since I began vaping and accidentally quit smoking. See, late one night I ran out of cigarettes. I didn't want to go to the store that late so I ripped open a Vuse starter pack to get my nic fix, something just to tide me over until the morning. The thing had been sitting on my counter for three weeks. My son bought it for me with hopes it would help me quit smoking. Well, I'm thrilled to say, I never bought that next pack of cigarettes. I've been vaping ever since.

I never expected an ecig to be able to replace real cigarettes but the Vuse surprised me. Although it satisfied my urge to smoke and gave me the nicotine I needed they were pretty costly. I'd seen a friend of my son's using a tank with liquid (had no desire to try such a thing, lol) so I got on the internet to investigate what all was out there. That's what led me to this forum where I gained a wealth of information. Thanks to all the helpful people here I was able to pick out my first set up and couldn't be happier with my choice, a 30w Istick and a Nautilus Mini. I got a great deal,19.99 for the Istick from VapeNW and 18.99 for the Nautilus from ecig.com w/free shipping. Our local B&M wanted 54.99 (for the 20w Istick) and 34.99 for the Nautilus Mini. It sure pays to shop around. This brings me to my first question for you all:

I've decided to start out with DIY unflavored juice. I like it, it's cheap and I learned all I needed to know about it from the forums here. I ordered Nic. 100mg/ml 60 ml 8.99 from EJC Labs along with some PG/VG. It seems very good, meets all expectations from what I've read here and shipping was lightening fast. But, since then, I've come across a company in my state (GA) that sells Nic. liquid for a good price. 1 Liter for 99.97. They extract their own nicotine from US Kentucky grown tobacco. Sounds good and all but I can't find any reference to them anywhere. Anybody bought from them or heard of them? I'd really like to stock up on the nic liquid since I feel like this is all going to be pulled out from under my feet any minute. Just can't find any info on them.

USA Laboratories About Us

TLDR: New to vaping. Thank you all for tons of information to help me get started on the right path. Anyone know anything about a company, USA Laboratories, Albany, GA? I can't find any references or recommendations for them anywhere but the price is good for Nicotine liquid.

Hi and welcome to the board. I am afraid I have never heard of the company. I DIY, and I buy my nic from MyFreedomSmokes. I just did a fairly thorough scour of their website and their parent USALiquidNicotine. Not one person's name is mentioned, no officers or directors. Just an address and a phone number. I am not overly impressed with the price. MFS is offering 1L 100mg nic juice, VG or PG or mixed base, for $50 right now. You make the call, of course, but I have done business with MFS for some time and am a satisfied customer. They are also a registered forum supplier.

Oh wow, thanks. I was just comparing their price to what I 'd bought earlier. Looks like I'll be checking MFS out.
Any time. I can recommend them and do. If you start looking for flavors (not that there's anything wrong with unflavored), I generally buy from Flavor Apprentice, also a registered forum supplier and more good people. You can also sometimes find good prices on gear at MFS.

Thanks you guys. My order is in. :) I went ahead since it was on sale but even the regular price was good. I do plan to get into mixing some flavors just for a change at times. Haven't had the Istick for 2 weeks and my finger is already itching to pull the trigger on that Kanger Sub mini kit and I'll want flavors for that. Figured the next thing to do to save money is get into making my own coils. God help me. I like this stuff too much.

I've pretty much got my mind made up to get the Kanger Subox Starter kit. I think I'm too new to this to trust myself with a clone. Anything that goes wrong I'll just blame it on the clone factor instead of working out the solution. I do like the top fill option though. In a youtube review on the Subox kit, the reviewer said that he had a heads up from Kanger that the next kits rolled out will have a spring-loaded connection instead of the fixed one they have now. I'm just waiting to hear that it's been done.

@The Ocelot It's amazing how that happens isn't it? I tried everything to quit with no success. To think that I could have quit years ago had I only known about vaping. Oh well, better now than never. Shame all the bad press it's getting which will keep so many from even trying. Thanks for the welcome.

If you're talking about the kit, (tank + mod), definitely hold off on the Kanger Subox kit until they bring them back out for round 2 with spring-loaded pins. ;)
I think they're just trying to sell all the existing stock out first - once they do, the new ones will be upgraded. They've tweaked a few other things as well. Any day now...
Congrats! :thumb:

howdy! and welcome! if i can make a suggestion on the nic - check out nudenicotine.com - for starters, you can get a free 15ml sample of their nic (even the 100mg/ml in several different pg/ vg ratios)... then, take a look at their prices - and their product is exceptional, have used it since i started (did some research on vendors, got a sample and have not looked back since)... would absolutely recommend it

and their shipping/ service is pretty fast - i don't live too far from where you are located and did not have to wait long for vapemail - great stuff!

yeah - the kanger subox is a good little kit with that pin issue being the one glaring flaw - overall, works great with kanger subtanks, but even with them, have had to finagle pin a little - not a deal breaker, per se, but worth waiting for the springloaded one...

Out of all my mechs, my favorite one is the one with a spring-loaded pin. :thumb:
It fires everything I put on it without any fiddling at all, even atties that my other mods wouldn't fire!
