Hello - nice to be here.

Hi - 1st post. Spent a day or two reading different posts trying to see what might work best for a complete noob.
Your forum is AMAZING!
I'm very heavy cig smoker who has to quit-soon. No problem, I said; when I run out of RYO tobacco, I'll quit.
Just like that. A real tough guy, huh?
3 days ago I see I have only 1 pack of RYO left. All of a sudden, tough guy starts freakin' out!
That's when I found this forum - and after reading all I could for 2 days, decided to order an MVP2 & VV3 from 101 Vape.
Should be here next day. Also got a ProTank mini for the VV3 & bought what I hope will be my last lb. of RYO tobacco.
I started my vaping journey thinking I would get a JC Vea kit & some of their juice, but some reviewers of the Vea thought an eg-o
might be a better way to go.
Found the dual eg-o spinner kit from MVS thru a post here - seemed like what I was looking for at about same price as the Vea kit.
After reading too many reviews of that kit & looking at more posts on this forum I finally decided on the Inokens.
I think it was a pretty good decision considering price for both was just a little higher than the spinner kit.
But I never could have made that decision without this forum.
So THANKS VERY MUCH & very HAPPY to be here!
Jim

Hi Jim & Welcome !!! I did the ryo thing for 11 or 12 yrs. I smoked 2 or 2 1/2 packs a day & was killing my self. I started out with a little 650 mah ego & 1.5 ml Aspire tank. Still got 'em & they work pretty well. Went up to a 1300 Ego-t & Protank2, added adjustable air flow bases & it was much better. Still have 3. Vision Spinners 1300 mah from there with iclear 30s. Didn't like the iclears. Sending them out to another member tomorrow. MVP & Kanger Mega & Vision Spinner 2 with Kanger Aero tank V2 is the newest. The best combo, thus far, is the MVP/Mega. The Vision2/V2 combo is more portable. Both are great combos.

You made a much better choice going with a device with a pass through feature, so you can vape while you charge, and have a much more reliable and easily replaceable charger than the Vision Spinner, to help keep you off cigarettes. The only other advice I'd give you ATM is make sure you have extra coils and enough juice at all times especially to get through the night or until you can get replacements.

Welcome aboard
Sounds like you've got the hardware part covered. Now begins the search for your all day vape (ADV). I recommend checking out the juices at a local vape shop. This will give you a good feel for what you like without having to buy on-line juice based on someone else's taste.
The second plus is having a place where you can get juice/hardware needs in a pinch.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to ECF and good luck on your vaping journey!

I started with an itaste also, and it's a great little device. Haven't used an MVP but hear lots of good things.

I second EBates suggestion to try a B&Ms juice bar if you have one. And try EVERYTHING, even the ones that sound terrible. I was really surprised by what liked...and what I didn't.

Thanks for the replies. I did pick up spare coils for both the mini protank & for the iclear 30 that came with the mvp2.
Got a 5pk. of samples & 30ml bottle of juice coming from Johnson Creek. the 30ml is the Red Oak Tenn. Cured.
Only reason I went with Johnson Creek was because I got to try a few puffs couple of yrs. ago & really liked it.
I'm not sure, but I think we do have at least one juice bar here & also a few tobacco shops that also sell vaping supplies.
I just need to get some more juice & hopefully I'll be set for at least 6 months.

Welcome. I also have the mini pro tank. 3 of them in fact. Just a bit of advice, DO NOT throw away your heads when they go bad. Buy a bit of 30 gauge kanthal, watch a ton of videos on youtube, learn ohms law, and start rebuilding them. You'll never have to buy new coils / heads again. With a little patience and practice, I think you'll find it incredibly easy and fun.

Came home from work & all my hardware was waiting for me, but the juice hasn't arrived yet.
A lady at work told me about a shop here in town run by a woman who makes all her own juice on the premises,
so I think i'll mosey on into town tomorrow & check it out.
Very nice to hear from those of you from the U.K. & thanks ilmostro for the tip about rebuilding heads.
My buddy's younger brother, who is a computer wiz, got sent over to London by his employer(Google) & bought a big house in the suburbs & got married there.
He loves it over there!
