The best mod I made is almost as good as an auto - i made the contacts the casing and the carto case - so as soon the cart touched one's lips it was live; no need to find the contacts :)

On most cartos, one can peel off the wrapping to reveal the metal (steel/ally) casing.

Do you still have it?

Yes. And today I started two new ones. One a 2AA box mod, one a MagLite-like LED torch (was). I'm using 14500 AA sized lithium batteries in these, so just one battery required; the space for the second battery is where the MOSFET, touch contact and LED will be fitted. For the mini torch, I might use an approach I saw someone else use once that I thought was a great idea - instead of a switch, the cartomiser/connector is spring loaded so to activate one simply pushes in the gentle spring with one's lips.

The 14500s are protected and ~900maHr so a sure all-day battery. 2 for £7 incl postage (~$10) on EBay (arrived in 2 days).

But on my 4.2V 100mA usb charger they take a loooong time to charge up (an over-nighter; the charger is safe cut-off type).

Then I will make my 808x3 mod - very simple but undoubtedy awesome.

Take three auto 808s, arrange side by side in a triangle and secure with elastic band (say). Then make an acrylic converger to combine the airflow of the three cartomizers into one mouthpiece.

Insert into a nice metallic cigar-tube. Mega-hit, pop in jacket, move on ...

I've tried out the concept. Ideal for those occasions you just want a BIG hit, and fast.

So, here's where I'm at. After 2 emails to greensmoke customer service it appears I will be receiving that kit whether I like it or not, they have not responded to me as of yet, and it looks like my order has indeed shipped. It kind of concerns me, their failure to respond, as it leads me to believe my return may be a hellish ordeal.

I've been looking, and while I'm still unsure what to get my two top candidates are the hsecho 1300, and the 900mah variable voltage ego I saw on Darth Vapers. I'm still open to suggestions though.

I'm not sure I understand the attachments well enough yet, but if I'm right the ego comes with a tank system, and I can also purchase dual coil cartomizers for it. If I do the latter, I only need to fill the carto, attach it, and I'm good to go, correct? Do I need other accessories with a carto? And how long do they last? Not sure which wat to go concerning all that. Hints?
