I just bought my first e-cig and am really liking it so far. I decided to go with the 808 Volt by smokeless image. I also just ordered some of the Boba's Bounty e-juice. I was wondering if it was absolutely necessary for me to get some blank cartomizers to try out the new juice, or if I could just try it out on a nearly empty pre-filled cartomozer that came with the starter kit. I know it is ideal to have the blank one and that filling a cartomizer with a different type of juice will alter the taste and possibly the vg/pg ratio... but just how bad is it to do this? I mean it wouldn't be dangerous to use two different juices in the same cartomizer would it?

Heck no. It's not dangerous. I mix lots of stuff in the same cartomizer. Sometimes it tastes good. Sometimes not so good. Get creative!

On the other hand there always is some liquid left in pre-filled cartomizer (even it's nearly empty) and by mixing two different juices you may get unexpected flavour as a result - sometimes tasty, sometimes not at all.

It's fine refilling a pre-filled cartomizer with different flavors, but it's hard to predict what it'll do to the taste. You might want to consider buying a pack of blank ones to try out flavors from different suppliers. You just might find something you love.
Nah I used to do that all the time. Eventually the old flavor will dissipate depending on how strong it is. Some strong menthols might never completely go away. Only danger is confusing your taste buds.

Can anyone comment on whether Boba's is going to work well in a carto for him?
I know Boba's is 100% VG, and quite thick. I usually have to thin any high VG juices out to get them to absorb well in a carto, but maybe that's just me.

ETA: oh yeah, mixing in a carto is not any problem safety wise, but can sometimes result in gross or odd flavors. Sometimes it results in tasty combinations. Just depends.

Mixing different juice isn't dangerous and many of us do it frequently. You just can't always predict what flavor you're going to end up with sometimes though!

What I tried to do when I was using cartomizers was match try and match the liquid as close as I could with what was already in it previously. You will have to buy new cartomizers eventually as you can't keep refilling them forever but you should be able to refill them a few times each before you need new ones.
I always used to do that, some times it would taste awesome, other times no so pleasant lol. but like its been mentioned it wont do you any harm apart from maybe an unpleasant taste.
As for bobas, have never tried it in a cartomizer myself as it seems to have the consistency of tar so may take a while for the filler in a cartomizer to soak up the liquid compared to other juices

Most people just buy an atomizer for testing different eliquids. Drip three drops on a clean atomizer and you will know what the eliquid tastes like without any other flavors changing the flavor. Then rinse the atty out with some PGA so it will be ready for your next eliquid test.
Alright thank you all . I will try the Boba's in my cartomizer and see how it works. I will eventually get an atomizer and drip tip. I'll probably also eventually get a box mod. I'm looking into them now. I just didn't want to get too many things at once.
