Hello! Quick question

I have been using my Halo Triton for about 3 weeks now, I love it and would like to branch out into other e-liquids besides the Halo brand. I have bought a couple from the local Smoker Friendly store, but they are not even worth mentioning compared to Tribeca and Prime 15. What is the best PG/VG ratio in your opinion? What tobacco flavored brands are worth trying? Something a little more affordable would be nice, I like to vape and can go through a 20ml bottle in no time.

as for what is best PG/VG...that's not the same for everyone. many like higher VG for the clouds. Halo itself is "significantly higher in PG" if that's anything to go by. but there is no 'best', it's all subjective to your tastes.

The best pg/vg ratio is the one that works in your device and works for you. It is very subjective.

Just like the answer to "What's the best device?"

Simple, the best device is the one you like and use that keeps you from smoking.

The Triton tanks seem to perform great with a high pg.

I've tried all vg, but it's hard to say if it was the vg or the flavor. I'd have to have the same flavor juice in various ratios to really tell. The pg carries flavor well, and I do like thick vapor. I also really like Halo eliquids, but we don't know the ratios. It's very possible the ratio is different from flavor to flavor.

It would be inappropriate to recommend competitors of Halo in the Halo section. You will find lots of opinion and suggestions in the E-liquids section of ECF.

If you do venture out from Halo, try 70pg/30vg and work your way down from there to see what works best for you.

You're going to see a lot of people online ranting and raving about high VG juice, even all the way up to 100%. But these folks are generally using sub-ohm (< 1.0 ohm) coils on high wattage devices. For a Halo Triton I personally echo Zavri's suggestion to go with a much higher PG %. The PG keeps the liquid thinner and it will wick much better in a Triton tank. (My guess is a lot of Halo is around 80%/20%)

PG can also give you more throat hit, which I find comforting as someone who still battles the urge to smoke cigarettes after 5 years of vaping. And reducing cigarette use is the reason we all do this, right? Good luck.

Oh, and P.S. I promise I am NOT at all exaggerating about this just because we're in the Halo sub-forum, but I have to tell you, Tribeca is my favorite tobacco liquid I've vaped.

70pg 30vg i found to be the best ratio for me. Higher pg = better flavor but less clouds.

Halo makes the best tobaccos and menthols in the business. There are cheaper e-liquids, but I haven't found any tobaccos or menthols which I like better. High PG works best for me; every Halo flavor uses different ratios, so it's tough to say what is best. I leave it up to the juice manufacturer, and their trial and error...
