Let me preface this by saying that I was a 2 1/2 pack a day smoker and smoked for 40 years. I have been off cigarettes and vaping now for 6 months.

One of the biggest surprises to me has been that in the past month I have noticed a big change in how things taste to me. I guess I had put my taste-buds in solitary confinement for 40 years! Two weeks ago I went to a restaurant and ordered a Cesar salad. The vinegar (or maybe it was the anchovies) tasted so strong that it made my eye's weep! Wow, never had that happen before.

Then last Saturday a vaping friend handed me her e-cig to try a custom mix she had made. It was a combination of two different flavors. I took a couple of hit and tasted the first flavor and then about three seconds later the second flavor washed over me! How COOL was that! My taste buds were perceiving subtleties in flavor!! I didn't know they could even do that!

I'd be interested to hear other peoples experiences. Also, if you've been vaping for a while, have you found that you've adjusted your juice flavors in some way?

Hello and Welcome

My taste buds have gone through so many changes these last 8 months since I started vaping.

The juices I like keep changing too according to my taste buds. I used to like the strongest flavor that I could find, because I had smoked my mouth numb. Now I like a lighter flavor probably because I can not taste it.
The strong flavors I do not care for anymore. But I am sure it will change again on this journey.:)

my tastebuds came back after 2 weeks of quitting, at first I gained a little weight because of all the tasty food available to me but after a while I found that I could get sweet and nutty tastes from vaping as opposed to actually eating junk food. When I'm at work I vape mountain dew constantly to keep me from drinking soda, which is a VERY good thing since I need more water due to my massive vape adduction lols.

I've always had a good nose, even when I was smoking.
But it is even better now.

I can smell every spice and almost every ingredient as my wife adds them to whatever she is cooking, and I like to see if I can recognize them. But I was actually shocked the other day when she was cutting apples on the chopping block in the kitchen, and I smelled them from upstairs in the bedroom.

Apples.
Seriously.
