Congratulations!
Yeah, I remember when my sense of taste came back - I was like "hey, this food tastes good!" :)
And I think there is a perfect way to avoid eating / snacking too much: just vape all the delicious sweet and yummy stuff :)

*giggles* And about the meat loaf - hey, you have not tried the recipe from my ex-hubby's mom: Put the potatoes and the carrots around the meatloaf, put it all in the oven, make a LOT of gravy.. and then serve fresh biscuits with it.. yum yum :)

Can't wait for this to happen (taste buds that is)... Been off the analogs since Oct 1, (25 days)

Had vapors tongue for a couple of days real bad... every juice tasted like dry air nothing... still get it a bit near the end of each day vaping.

Really hoping this goes away and some of my juices start tasting better (a lot of them taste soapy or chemical tasting ughhh, almost like perfume).

Anyways, glad to hear it might pass.

My taste is better, but haven't had a explosion of flavor yet. This is 4 months in with no cigs. I smoked for 32 years though. My sense of smell is spectacular. Lol.

90 days and counting from my 30+ year pack to pack and a half a day and my taste buds are only a little perkier but my nose has gone hyper sensitive. Annoying smells before are now--OMFG! Unpleasant has become painful. Hubby's choice of air freshener should be labeled super grandma in the house and super morgue in the car and the little coffee shop at work only cleans the burners every 2 weeks. That second week, I hold my breath when I walk past.

my experience has been a few days after my last stinky, food and drink tasted very different. mostly in a very good way.
a week after vaping i got vapers tongue/nose, food still tasted strong, just vaping tasted like vegetable oil.
vapers tongue went away, but I'd saying not completely, the vape flavours don't seem to be as strong. that might also be because of my coils, they are a month old now.
I'm looking forward to this vaper tongue explosion you promised me OP.

I think the way I finally combated vapors tongue was a variety of things. I first switched flavors a lot which means, I went from sweet, to minty, to not sweet. At that time it didn't seem like it would do anything since all the flavors were so muted it didn't seem to make a difference. I also drank lots of water, but not just any water, I used water that had electrolytes infused (not the flavored water). It seemed to help with the dehydration much more efficiently. And lastly I heard that drinking coffee or sodas helped to kick start the taste buds so I did a combination of things to kick vapors tongue.

I didn't try the biotene. I did try brushing my tongue but that felt strange. LOL Anyways after the vapors tongue left, I make sure I switch flavors a lot to help my taste buds to not become numb.

My tastebuds are still around! Flavors abound and I can vouch for spicy foods becoming more spicy! I just got my regular order of buffalo wings and my mouth was on FIRE! When did that get so hot! LOL.. going to dial it down a notch for now on.

The only thing that has changed with my smelling so far, is that I seem to be able to smell a smoker 50 feet away. But other than that, smell hasn't exploded yet on me.
